Flinders Park might as well play Golden Grove in the C6 GF now, cos that's what it will be. Fair call in saying that Golden Grove's D grade is stronger than their C grade. Could do worst than swap the 2 sides around to make the Divisions more even, as it doesn't look good when a club has a C grade on the bottom, yet the D grade sits top!

Our C3 side is 5th, won 1 by plenty and lost 1 by plenty. They will get stronger in the coming weeks as a few ins and outs fill into our A's and B's and push a few guys down, which will probably make our D's a bit weaker believe it or not....
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

I understand that there are reasons for it but that is a bit rich coming from FP, you guys have plenty of players running around in your C grade that could play higher. Did Sudjai Cook not play A1 footy last year or the year before? handy guy to have in your C grade. As I said, I understand that there are reasons that guys dont want to play A grade, it happened to us some years back too. Yes we have a strong D grade so far this year, but this side is filled with guys aged 32 and over, alot of us carrying the weight along with the risk of injury. There is really only 4 players that played in our C grade playing D grade this year. This has given players that played D grade last year the chance to play uo higher, to be honest they should have been there last year. You can also add that a good number of our C grade from last year have taken the step up and are playing good B grade footy.

I watched that C grade game last week and I can with fair certainty say that with our absolute best C grade side, with age not being a factor we still would not have got close to FP C grade. I can also say that our C grade will not finish down the bottom of the ladder.

How does it work with SHOC coming in, do they start from scratch ? Seems like they have alot of depth out there and might come up with a handy E grade side and trouble a few sides in this division

Picking grand final teams already now thats a big call im sure smosh and pac will have something to say about it.I reckon them 4 will fight it out later in the year.Parks beat broadview today by just over 10 goals, like last week bad kicking for goals but it didnt cost them today. As already stated by tex i think parks have some quick lads out there.I think klompy and watto? kicked 4 each upforward.Broadview had some good players but left to much up to 2 few

I think GG might be better served by playing Marshall in the A grade. They are struggling at the moment but he still goes very well for an old fella

I would assume that both FP and SMOSH will be better next time we come up against them. I dont believe Klomp played against us either.

he does but his body would not hold up again in A grade. Played with a really tight hammy yesterday, obviously played well but at this level he doesnt need to go full tilt. Again, if we were looking at a 42 year old player to get us out of strife in the A grade we would have more trouble. Our A grade have won 1 lost 2 and are sitting 9th equal with about 5 other teams, i wouldnt think that there would be massive panic just yet, from all reports SMOSH looked good in the A grade.

Surely the loss of B.Hall is the biggest hurt FP have felt in many, many years.

So will the Salisbury lads be dropping a couple of your C grade players back this week since you have the bye? Last year we had one player drop back when we had the week off but that was really only because the D grade were short.

Bored at work so let's give the tips a crack for this week:

Mawson Lakes v Broadview: M/Lakes seemed to have turned their form around slightly since Round 1 and should win this comfortably - 60+
Flnders Park v Gepps Cross: Gepps X don't seem to be much chop and FP will finish top 2 - 40-59pts
Salisbury v Golden Grove: GG to get the points here.
SMOSH v Mitcham: SMOSH to atone easily for Mitcham. SMOSH's umpire to get B.O.G!
Sacred Heart v PAC: Sacred Heart had a good first up win against Mitcham but think will get a bit of a wake up call against Prince Alfred who are warming as Premierships faves.

Settle down there RM!! I wasnt saying that if you were to it was a bad thing. When I was playing C grade last year we wanted to get dropped back the bye weeks. Not to really add strength to the D grade but to get a game because C4 was a shambles! there was easter last week and the your C grade had the bye, there is no rules against it so I was asking if you were going to. I had a beer with some of your players after the game and they said there was about 3 guys that would normally play higher, so what. Dont be so precious.

Mistake ridden game at Mawson Lakes on the weekend. Controversy with 2 minutes to go when the Broady goal umpire called a clearly rushed behind a goal. Lucky the umps got involved and common sense prevailed.

Rob O'gorman tried to pick up more votes by boudary umpiring on the weekend and the after match entertainment was good too

How are Sacred Heart going to catch up on the games they're behind in this comp due to coming in late? Just had a look at their side, pretty good team. I think Golden Grove will have a big challenger here.

I reckon if they just keep winning they'll overtake a few sides pretty quickly, regardless of how many they've missed!

They're already only 1 win off 2nd spot

We play Sacred Heart in a couple of weeks time in a Friday nite game at the burra-dome. Should be a ripping game and will see where we are at.

Riddler how were Broadview on the wkend? Do they still have a couple of deaf guys playing for them? We play them away this Saturday.
