Therefore to do for example in div 6 & 7, two teams will need come down but no teams go up

For div 5 & 6 transitions, three teams come down & maybe just div 6 premier only goes up

Etc etc

If such expectations are set in place before the following season begins, then when all the ONE-OFF unusual promotion/relegations occur next season everyone will be mutually accepting that they with a crap season may hav to go down a div, even tho they finished 7th or 8th

Can't see a club in Div 4 or 5 voting this in to benefit a club in Div 7

It doesn't even benefit a club in D7, as it essentially means staying in D7 another year regardless of making a grand final.

It's supposedly benefiting C-Graders.

Cgraders hav nothing to do with anything anymore. Stop depending on div 1 div 2 clubs to maintain your survival

There are already byes in div 3, 6, 7

Half the clubs to be in div 4, 5 next year will come from divs that were in byes this year :s

As if any club besides Houghton (maybe sals west) will be willing to go to div 6 next year anyway

Start building the foundations of next years independence with each other instead of going on and on about we need the cgraders back :(

I don't disagree with your concept of having the bye. In fact, I think it would beneficial to the smaller sized clubs in the lower Divs (5, 6, 7).

But the bye is not well received by most, least of all in the higher divisions, and you're also essentially asking many clubs to forgo promotion and forcing clubs who've finished 7th & 8th to be relegated . Nobody is going to vote for that to help out a couple of clubs who have poorly handled the management of their third and fourth teams.

the stubborness of the big wigs is always hostile & heated when first confronted with change.

lets look at div 6, a big shock when StPauls was dropped to div 7, but did anybody really care - oh well we face a bye now

ive charted the change and here are the protocols of season 2015 if 2016 goes to 7 pure agrade divisions of 9 teams...

# Div 7 - The div 7 premier will not go up
# Div 6 - 8th & 9th will be relegated
# Div 6 - Only the div 6 premier goes up
# Div 5 - 8th, 9th, 10th will be relegated
# Div 5 - only the div 5 premier will be promoted
# Div 4 - 9th & 10th will be relegated
# Div 4 - Both Grand Finalists go up as usual
# Div 3 - 8th & 9th will be relegated
# Div 3 - Both Grand Finalists go up as usual

THIS IS FOR ONE SEASON ONLY -

Correct, we've planned for a year in Div 7 and hopefully we've done it well enough to start planning for a successful year in D6 from September.

id love to see Mitchell Park/Angle Vale reach the grand final and then have both of them refuse to go to Div 6 after their last experiences haha

I doubt either would refuse. You learn from your past experiences and plan for it better next time the opportunity arises.

your boy has the fairy tale written already, bags packed and plans written for the after parties already

i hope you raider boys do get the title finally

im only denting Q's hopes vindictively, as he wont take the time to appreciate that im striving to bring him & his little fellow minnow clubs a solution for the long term future, and all because the top line on my proposal states... "the div 7 premier wont go up" he swiftly refuses to pay attention.

Marbles, you've got your little C grade Super League, now will you please go and take your nonsense to that thread and leave the 'A grade Divisions' for the 'A grade folk' and rid us of the rubbish that we are subjected to when your fingers come in contact with your keyboard..

You're insistence that clubs 'Stop relying on div 1 or 2 clubs to survive' is potentially the most ridiculous thing I have read from a 'C grader'..

Besides, after last night's meeting, I got the impression that the league is committed to having ten team divisions next year and may be far more forceful in filling the grades to their capacity.

I think we can all agree that that's for the best.

Maybe if every club was limited to 2 senior teams only, then there would be more clubs and more players to go around for these clubs struggling to get 2 teams together.

Mitchell Park have never refused to be promoted or requested to be relegated outside of the normal protocols for relgation/promotion. In fact we have been known to put our hands up, bite the bullet and go up to D6 from D7 when we didn't make the GF and been beaten pretty handily because of it.

Absolutely. No more refusing promotion or requesting relegation, you play where you play based on the previous years results. End of!
