Yes obviously the first half of the year the bulls played some great football however when the weather turned to crap i believe we were found needing a few bigger bodies around the place. Also the depth issue came to the for again with the top 3 this year all featuring late into the reserves finals same as last year. Hopefully a few former bulls will return to give it a shake

Rodgers, Mjaskalo, Coghill and Greaves good start to bulls recruiting .Few bigger bodies there
its all about september

Not sure how the hell I missed this thread since I've been talking about the Bulls in the Div 4 forum for the last 8 months!

09 looking good so far with the above new players a great addition to the side. Lee Coghill will be one of the dominant forward line players in Div 4 next year. Would think he would line up at CHF.

Just thinking of the possible forward line next year is making me salivate! ;)

FF: Howe Greaves Resting rover
CHF: Moore Coghill Coles

Hopeful for a few more recruits in the next few weeks.

Yeah Wattsy is going to play this year. He should bring much needed experiance, alot of voice and good skills on the park.
Alot of rumours went around that Drew Hosking was leaving, but he has told a few of the players and football director (Paul Dittmar) he will be playing on in 09. Still a big chance of picking up Nick Kerber from Goody Saints. He would be awesome. Huge amount of skill and can read the ball very well. That was when I played with him a few years ago, can't imagine how good he would be with two years of div 1 footy under his bealt! Not a sure thing though yet, so I'm not getting my hopes up.

I am excited about how good some of the young lads should be this year! One player who springs to mind who I think could tear apart Div 4 this year is 18 year old Ben Russell! Huge amount of talent and kicks both feet! Also kicks goals. Played a very solid season last year. When we were winning he always had heaps of the ball. When it got a bit more physical he went missing a bit, but that's why I think he will be even better next year having a season of senior footy under his belt!

Wattsy will be a bonus fwd or back, his voice and enthusiasm will be of great value.Good to hear about Drew he is a good player. What about Lovell?? Ditts as footy director thats great news, true legend and he will be great for wattsy.

Ive watched Ben play and was impressed, seen him the other day and it looks as if he has put on a few kilos which may help him with the confidence of bigger bodies. One thing that is hard to teach anyone is when its physical you have to keep your head over the ball and burrow in(small mans place to be. Brett Copeland was a similiar size and he was a master at it. Anyway hope there is more recruits and go you Bulls.

Pity about the cricket team hey Ray

Yep things looking good for the bulls.Agree about Copey keeping his head over the ball hence why he had concussion 72 times throughout his career.
Dont worry about the cricket dogs, not far away! If only we could get to 150. Disco stu will be back after xmas and jj and g.brown have been getting away and looking good but not going on with it. Lethal has also been fairly solid with a couple of 50s. Losing 2 close ones has killed us. could be in the 4.
The bulldogs are in a little better shape.

He would be another handy pick up. He played the first time against us but not the second (out with concussion).

He certainly did play at Adel Luth this year.
Hard at it, with good skills. Played most of the year down back/swapping on ball.
Last time I spoke to him, wasn't sure if he was playing at all this year, flat out with work.
Haven't heard if he's moving on, but lives close to Pooraka I think...
