How many games have Henley lost in the last few years??? good luck

Henley's B grade would push some A grades IMO

henley okay dont have the A grade stats to prove much but we would beat henly B grade..

unknown source you are seriously on acid!!!!!!!! firstly how many div 1R games you played???????? secondly there is a HUGE difference between the levels and i rekon plymptons A's and B's would give your teams a fair beating and were in div 5...... have another beer mate...

trying to gain some respect for div 6 and say that a div 6 side would struggle against the good div1 reserves teams. think you would find is that div1R would have better skills and tactics. there are some very good players in div 6 but i think lower class players in the team would be the downfall. i wouldnt think D1R would be considerably higher, but BL beating teams by 20 goals...
my brother plays div2 reserves currently and comparing it to div 6As, he reckons there are a lot more tactics involved and skills is a bit better. he reckons a good div 6 team would be mid ranged in div 2 reserves.

Without resorting to name calling fellas....

Consider that the worst five lads in Henley's B Grade probably get rotated a bit in their C Grade. A team like Brahma Lodge would absolutely kill Henley's C Grade, the difference between BL's best and worst is probably quite a small gap. Have a look at Henley's B Grade, the difference between the best and worst is probably quite a larger gap.

How do you judge a team, by their best or their worst? Maybe neither, perhaps it's more of how do you compensate for your worst, or how do you make the most of your best.

Consider also that a Div 6 A grade side are equally as well drilled and the team changes little from week to week, I would stick my neck out and say that a side like BL would rattle most sides in Div 1R, but would have some tough matches against the top two teams.

i agree with you q i look at broadies, gepps and raggies b grade sides because of past affiliations with those 3 clubs and brahma col light heccies would win a lot more games in div1 or 2 res than they lose imo. I believe that people from higher clubs dont understand that lower grades do have structures etc and a lot of div 6 players could play div 1 if they chose to leave their mates and their clubs. just my perspective on the topic fwiw

i reckon a good gage would be that some div 1 sides have their c grades in div 7 for example. now there wouldn't be much of a difference between div 6 and div 7 one would think. but the difference between a clubs b and c grade would be quite large. so i reckon that's how you would work it out maybe. obviously until they played each other though, nothing would be proven. would love to see it happen.

I beg to differ. At the moment the top six or seven sides in Div 6 would demolish the top five teams in Div 7, which includes Henley, Athelstone and SHOC C Grades.

if you look at heccies team last yr, max clarke and michael howieson have left to play for broadview this yr. both have played As. also had marc borholm (forced to move to broadview during the year) who is now playing the west league side! year before that, jonothan platten left to athelstone and is probably one of the fittest players in saafl and luke marotta left to broadies and played A1s for the whole year. also have sven (dont know last name) and matt di monte who are playing As at PNU.
looking at the current team, you have pete fransico who almost moved to raggies who would have pushed As and julian leak who almost moved to gepps X. danny diesal played at CMS crows and think even norwood (a long time ago i think). obviously there is talent in div 6, whether its better than d1R, i dont know.

Port Adelaide are trying to flex their muscles with lads who have left the club because they felt they were being treated like lepers. Threatening a player that if he doesn't return to Alberton this week they will stop him from playing footy for 2 years. This lad left because he felt he was being harshly treated, he'd had enough of training 5-6 times a week and in his opinion not getting a fair go, so he made the choice to leave and play SAAFL.
Now the Magpies are flexing their muscles because they're struggling, insisting he goes back and play there.
Not good enough one minute, must come back the next and they will keep him out of footy if need be, utter bullsh^t I say!
The SANFL is on the side of Port Adelaide so I guess clubs can continue to treat young men like 'cattle', build them up and let them down with a BANG. All in the name of sport.
Shame on them!

well there are also plenty of players that have played a grade that play in div 1 reserves. and i'm sure there are many that have played at sanfl under 17's and 19's too that play on their clubs b grade. the best way to judge it, without actually playing a game of course, would be to look, as i said before, at the gap between a div 1 clubs b's against their c's (which would be huge), against the gap between div 6 and 7 which wouldn't be as big, and there would lie your answer.
