I'd advise Fitzroy players to dig into their cricket bags and don a box this week.

Hope the Woody South guys don't forget to bring their netball bibs with them for their game this week

Just want to say that the Ingle farm coach is class and I hope his boys get over the line this week in what should be an absolute belter and my tip for the GF.

West Croydon too strong in the reserves at ingle farm. Very good fwd line.

Agrade Hawks up by 7 goals at half time.

West Croydon will be tough to beat in the B grade this year, that forward line is very difficult to stop - good size and strength and smarts, backmen will have their work cut out.

Their pressure and tackling around the ground was sensational, and their midfield worked a bucket load harder than ours, giving their dangerous forwards quick clean entry from centre stoppages.

Surprisingly fitter than I thought they'd be.

In the A grade, they were exceptional in the first half in particular, well structured and disciplined, understand their roles properly, and move the ball well. Got a 7 goal jump on Ingle Farm in the 2nd and it stayed that way most the second half.

Second half was more of an arm wrestle as each sides back 6 repelled attacks and the ball just went end to end, back and forth.

Last quarter though late West Croydon hit the scoreboard more regularly. Dominated clearances and I50's.

Structure - cop out word.
Structure = my 21 players were better than the oppositions.
Every strong side looks well structured.

I don't like giving the man to much praise but Matt McPherson deserves a lot of credit.
I personally think he is one of the best coaches going around in the lower grades. He did inherit a good side,
But they did lose Cooper and Ben wiles this year, who would be in there top 5 easily. Not easy to replace
But Matt always get the best out of the Hawks and they're always dangerous under him no matter what div.
The lads out there love playing for him and that's why there so disciplined with there structures.

What you saw last week was a very depleted team with at least 10 players out for various reasons.

Which is similar to what you saw from us yesterday.. As well as 1 coach down.. But cant use personnel as an excuse in the B grade when we sinply got out worked after qtr time. Credit to Morell and his lads, they just out worked us and got the job done. Far from panic stations though. Brahma spanked us by similar at this time last year, we just need to ride out the next few weeks and then re group..

In the A grade, the coach going to hospital 15 minutes before the game and our trainer asking if I could coach the A grade at the 17 minute mark of the last qtr of our game threw us out a but. But it simply came down to us just turning over the footy too much in dangerous positions and Mitchell Park capatalising on that. We blazed away under pressure and made poor decisions at times and it cost us the game in the end.. So we are 1-3 having lost 3 games by 8 points or less, need to be winning the close ones if you are to make finals in a tight division..

So I wake up on this Sunday having broken more new ground at Trinity, the first coach to coach 2 losses in 1 day..

Cheers to Woody Sth yesterday on there anzac service before the game, the bugler got a bit shaky halfway through but saved it at the end.

Two weeks in a row now we have been in front or just behind at halftime and then let the 3rd qtr slip away from us.
