will make the game vs Gepps very interesting this weekend.
plenty of juniors getting their chance at div1 footy....hope they take thier opportunities!!

Don't get sucked into believing that Gepps, thats bullsh!t if i've ever heard it!

SHOC v T T Gully - in an upset 11-20
Gaza v Pt Districts - I know Mead doesn't rate Pearce as coach of Districts but watch out Meady it might come back to bite you right in the arse. 1-10
Henley v Gepps Cross - Don't listen to the injury excuses, their just close to losing another game but it won't be this one. 21-30
Rostrevor v Modbury - much improved side & capable of beating the Hawks.21-30
Salis Nth v Goodwoods Saints - some sides are gradually closing the gap on Goody's & i believe Salis Nth have a good enough squad to beat Goodwood this week.11-20

Some days you are on, some days you are off. Some weeks you have injuries, some weeks you don't.
Some games you win, some games you lose.
For all those that stuck it up us after last week's performance, thanks, because today's effort was fantastic in windy conditions irrespective of who was in or who was out. Well done Rams!

I must say alot of pressure on the Rams today losing the last three & facing the top side.
Alot would of thought including me it was a certain win to the Sharks.
Not to be tho the mighty Rams had something up their sleeves & they proved today they are capable on their day of beating anyone.
Well done to Roey & the boys.

yes gepps x played ectremely well i hear.
no excuses from henley,..gepps were the best side on the day!!
well done to them especially under the circumstanes at the club (challen leaving, etc)
henely but they fielded a side they thought was good enough and came up short...(outs/injuries/etc HFC does not see this as an excuse)
well done aceman. looks like the grass may be greener in the second half of the season after yesterdays effort.

Great game Modbury V ROCS on yesty

Modbury started slowly and ROCS kicking with a strong breeze didn't capitalise on their opportunities early. Modbury started to get some run going managed to get be in front at half time. Modbury were very wasteful going forward on occasions and ROCS kept kicking points with their opportunities so game was evenly balanced at half time. Second half Modbury kicked away to lead by 20 odd points kicking into the breeze but late goal to Lister bought it back to approx 15 points at 3/4 time. Towards the end of the 3/4 the breeze died down and ROCS kicked the first 4-5 goals of the last quarter to get out to a 13 point lead with 4 or so minutes to play.... Modbury had no bench for the last quarter and having Jolly off the ground it looked like ROCS would hold on.... The Hawks managed to get a run on and some great individual efforts hit Vandeveld on the chest and he finished them off ending up with 5 goals and 6 point win to the Hawks.

Great to see Reece Hofmeyer back from a knee recon and played a whole game on the wing and did very well (had a few spews throughout the day mind you ;) )

Modbury now is looking to put a 4 quarter effort in against the Sharks at the Hawks nest.

Didn't he do that knee in the state game last year?

He must have been itching to get back!

Yeah Hoffy has worked really hard to get back.... he is the fittest bloke going round and was great to see him get some early touches and to run out a whole game on the wing first game back was a super effort. Really adds run on the wing and uses the footy as good as enyone

We have more players missing than a Sal North supporter has missing teeth

Just an interesting STAT from the Goody Saints game

Free Kick Goodys 47
Hawks 8

Now that makes it hard to win a game of footy

Undisciplined acts by the Hawks? or umpire bias?

Surely that can't be right ??? That's a staggering discrepancy if your 'Peter Daicos Footy Stats counter' has it correct....

Footy Smart wrote:Well everyone has played eachother now what are your thoughts of the other teams (dont make it a bagging session ;) )

Henley - cant comment as didnt see the game, from the sounds of it we played 15 mins of bad footy and Henley kicked away. Very good team cant give them an inch FAVOURITES FOR FLAG SURELY
TTG - Solid midfield(toughness), Pitty up forward dangerous - can challenge for the title on there day
Goodies - classy 2 tall ruckman(1 did his knee i believe) not much depth in 2's so a few injuries could set them back but cant question the quality of the team - like them more than the gullies to play Henley in the GF
Gepps X - height all over the ground, lacked a bit of real class like goodies have but have the runners and height to push for a GF.
Salisbury Nth - big bodies, some pace around the ground - in a battle with Gaza and Modbury for middle places and a
finals chance.
Gaza - few big boys with some pace around the ground.
ROCS - rely on lister heavily to kick enough goals for them to win
Modbury - dropped some games they shouldnt have, get a few key players back in the team soon and should come home well
Port Dist - obviously can play when they put it together eg. last weeks result but when we played them they were a bit of a rabble, so no doubt some work to do
SHOC - think they are assured of going down just who joins them is a guess

Apart from Henley all teams have shown they can match it with the teams above them. Looking forward to the run home

with a couple results on the weekend, think no one are assured to go down or to make the last 1 or 2 finals spots. Very even comp.
