Number 4 (Burton) was sent of for the remainder of the game for squirting a SN player in the face with his water bottle.. pretty severe even though we werent too upset to see him go off. Demasi will not be backing up his Pfitzner medal this yr as he was reported and red carded for an deliberate FAD trip. told me after the game he thought it was an immediate 1 game ban offence.

Lads, I think you might wanna check and see if your statsman was on the same red cans as your supporters. I'm not going to argue against the quality of the umpiring it was as bad as I have been apart of and they lost control early in the match. There were a string of holding the ball decisions that went Goodwood's way in the second qtr but for the most part it was fairly evenly spread with head scratchers left right and centre. There were 2 reports for Goodwood on the night that left them with 16 players for most of the 3rd qtr, which ironically was when they played their best. The first report (no. 4) was for spraying the divisions favourite player, Motley, with water. A trivial way to end a players game considering the amount of head highs that go unreported most weeks... The second was for tripping and not having seen it clearly I'm not going to comment. As for Motley he would have to be close to the most hated player in the league. One of the best nigglers in the business. I will though give him his dues, he is one of the first to line up and shake the hands of every player in the opposition side.

Funny how the 2 reports come from actions against Mots. he can be handy if not sucked in himself. good player when his head is on right.. very out of character for Demasi.. didnt really try and hide it and was in front of the ump.. mayb a brain fade. with Burton, i never knew u couldnt giv someone a spray (water) and not get away with it. in the end our innacuuracy and turnovers late in the game cost us. screamer by Rossy was a highlight.

Yes Rossy takes the best hangers you will see anywhere .... Can get knocked off the ball pretty easy once it hits the ground
Get sick of yelling KEEP YOUR FEET Rossy

Dean Cutting is the best player in Div 1 of keeping his feet

oh he was all over it like a kid in a candy shop. took it at the perfect end too (clubroom). had a decent roar from the crowd and milked it too. coulve been a contender for almost footy legends. has taken better but sat up there for ever. Cutto is a freak at weaving magic at ground level. never gets pushed off the ball and controls the ball like its on a string.

The hanger in the first qtr certainly got SN up and running and the crowd, whilst already primed, were loud very early on. Was a great turn out and always good to leave there after winning. The crowd whilst giving a heap of stick during, and especially at 3 qtr time were good when the game was over.
The coach was not a happy camper when Demasi was sent off, the spray directed at him could be heard from all points of the ground.
Someone mentioned the amount of injuries for SN in an earlier post. To me it also looked like Jordan struggled during the game, but I think that the list of 'outs' for Goodwood would have been equally as long and equally - if not more - talented.
Every club has 'outs' of some variety at this time of the year though.

That may be true about the injury list but we didnt have enough quality players to lose as many as we have
lost ..... Good year to start the WE are not paying for new recruits and are going to develop our young players
and let me tell you some of them have been put in the lions den and stood up but we are struggling for real
quality div 1 players IMO im sure Winger will think differently

Its also good to have a new poster from Goodies on board maybe he can enlighten us with some reports
for the rest of the year

not confident of there form they have only won there 4th game ;) they are Happy they finally put 4 quarters together and great credit to the lads to get back and win with no bench and the skipper off in the last qtr..... few blokes back last week add some class and run which helps. Hopefully get a few back this week and hoping the injuries from the weekend are ok.

The top side at home always a massive challenge and one the boys will be up for. They wont wanna loose 2 on the trott so we are expecting a very tough game from a professional outfit.

where are you from Cheese Eater?

the hood brothers kicked 10 between them in the B grade for Salisbury North on the weekend, you gotta think they both will push For As this week, one of them is leading the Goal kicking i think ??

Surely if he was asked to play in the A grade he would instead of thinking he can win a div 1 ( r ) Goal kicking.. Hardly something to hang ur hat on!!!!!

i would have thought that Matt would have played alot more A grade games but has dropped off in intensity i think until the goodwood game and like i said Mick has done nothing wrong. hope he gets a go this weekend. hard at it and knows where the goals are. wouldnt mind him kicking 6 for us..
