Number 4 (Burton) was sent of for the remainder of the game for squirting a SN player in the face with his water bottle.. pretty severe even though we werent too upset to see him go off. Demasi will not be backing up his Pfitzner medal this yr as he was reported and red carded for an deliberate FAD trip. told me after the game he thought it was an immediate 1 game ban offence.

I'm not going to argue against the quality of the umpiring it was as bad as I have been apart of and they lost control early in the match. There were a string of holding the ball decisions that went Goodwood's way in the second qtr but for the most part it was fairly evenly spread with head scratchers left right and centre. There were 2 reports for Goodwood on the night that left them with 16 players for most of the 3rd qtr, which ironically was when they played their best. The first report (no. 4) was for spraying the divisions favourite player, Motley, with water. A trivial way to end a players game considering the amount of head highs that go unreported most weeks... The second was for tripping and not having seen it clearly I'm not going to comment. As for Motley he would have to be close to the most hated player in the league. One of the best nigglers in the business. I will though give him his dues, he is one of the first to line up and shake the hands of every player in the opposition side.

Funny how the 2 reports come from actions against Mots. he can be handy if not sucked in himself. good player when his head is on right.. very out of character for Demasi.. didnt really try and hide it and was in front of the ump.. mayb a brain fade. with Burton, i never knew u couldnt giv someone a spray (water) and not get away with it. in the end our innacuuracy and turnovers late in the game cost us. screamer by Rossy was a highlight.

Was a great turn out and always good to leave there after winning. The crowd whilst giving a heap of stick during, and especially at 3 qtr time were good when the game was over.
The coach was not a happy camper when Demasi was sent off, the spray directed at him could be heard from all points of the ground.
Someone mentioned the amount of injuries for SN in an earlier post. To me it also looked like Jordan struggled during the game, but I think that the list of 'outs' for Goodwood would have been equally as long and equally - if not more - talented.
Every club has 'outs' of some variety at this time of the year though.
