well done to the raiders on making the GF. wingies got the jump with the breeze in the first qtr 4.2 to 1.4 but from there the raiders just clawed their way back into the game. down by 10 pts at half time and 8pts and 3 qtr time and then two early goals in the first 4 minutes of the last and they were on their way to the GF.

had some handy tall blokes especially #32 smith. newton looks handy at CHB and some solid bodies around the place that tackle hard. was a pretty interesting game to watch.

good luck to enz maione - an old blacks lad who was in my year from when we were about 10. remember him being a soccer player but he is a bloody handy and disciplined back pocket.

the time has come, good luck to all involved should be a great day. blacks by 5 goals.

Context of those matches?
First one in dry, fast conditions at BlackFs home ground, and the second one in the Hills after considerable amounts of rain bogged the oval up...is that right?

I'd be really keen to get along actually. BlackFs' 'Day of Reckoning' would be interesting. Could be one of the most talked about GFs in the amatuers this season.

But...I'll actually be at the Riverland GF watching Loxton fight it out with Loxton North.

Well then you'd be cheering for Loxton North if you're mates with Byron. He's a proud Panther. Nice bloke too - can be cocky, but you have to be to be an AFL player.

Hard to say who the faves would be - but I think Loxton would prefer to be playing Waikerie and not North.
Loxton lost about three games all year. North have come from fourth, which they did in 2004 when they knocked off Loxton in the GF. Will be Loxton's fourth grand final in a row - lost first three.
Worth noting both clubs will be facing off in the under 18s GF too.

pretty well spot on dogwatcher. probably not considerable amounts of rain during that week but it was a drizzly day and the ground was slow to heavy. dr grace would have run poorly on it but st jude would have loved it. the changerooms were colder than being outside and the water out of the taps had more brown than the raiders guernseys.

this week, fine and sunny, should make for a great day at the home of the walkerville cats.
