Disappointing result for WOS, didn't think they were in the bottom two sides based on the games we played against them.

Who were then PAG?
Well we've only played Fitzroy once but they haven't won a game, and probably Elizbaeth. But like I said, that was in the two games we've played, obviously over the course of the year they won more so deserve their spot in D4 next year, just think WOS are unlucky. FWIW, I think WOS will win out there this week.

Pag its been one of those years which maybe we had to have. It will be a real reflection of who wants to be there now. Usides we got game time into kids who otherwise may not have been selected.

We knew very early with our losses in personnel that we would be under the pump. What hurt us even more was injuries to what we had. 42 players through the A grade, 73 changes in 17 games.

Pleasing part is we took it up to most teams losing 6 games by 3 goals or less shows we had something. Whatever 2012 brings for Westminster dragons I am confident that with what has now been put in place will be for the best.

Enough of us I think its a race in 3 Salis, Greenies and Scotch. Before other sides get the beef with what I have said.. On any given day I think Heccies, Kilburn and Unley are capable of challenging those side BUT I feel the 3 i named have a plethora of match winners.

Good luck to who ever makes the finals hope WOS get back there soon. When ?????? no idea.

Cheers to the Elizabeth Boys who lined up opposite the Fitzroy Boys at the end of the game as Big Benny Hart was carried of the ground as the big fella really appreciated it.

Played against the big fella very very good player and from what i seen a great club man and bloke. Deserves a guard of honour.

Was it retirement or milestone?

Team of the year stuff. I will only put forward WOS candidates as i see them. Matt Newman, Chris Chubb, Darcy Kildea. A case can be made for Jon Ferris as the small forward.

Elizabeth lads,
We are expecting a guest appearance form an AFL icon at our club on Saturday afternoon / evening.
I have spoken to Mick about the possibility of moving forward the games slightly to allow us to all get back to Glandore for the occasion. Hopefully your coaches and players will oblige...
Look forward to our bus trip out to Argana to round out what has been a hugely disappointing season.
Cheers

No doubt at this time of year alot of guys ponder retirement and I would like to say Well Done to Steve Hayes for his great service to the WOS footy club, our loss is Mildura's gain great bloke and almost as good a footballer. Also a little whisper that it could be Gus Allens final game........ I am sure that if he does decide now is the time to hang them up his legacy as the heart and soul of the club will remain. I personally think he is playing the best footy of his time since I have been there. I few quiet ales followed buy a few wines, followed by a few Jagers, followed by cruiser clun and we may squeeze one more season out of him. :D

Just wondering how you boys at fitzroy have taken to Darren "Dasher" Wilson. played under him at Willaston in 2006 and found his pre seasons solid with Birds as fitness coach. had good ideas, but just didnt suit willaston at the time of coaching. was just seeing how he was going down there is all. i know you boys havent faired that well, but i guess when chad bourke takes a few of your boys to glenunga i dosent help. Congrats to Benny hart also, man mountain in the square
