I was expecting you to say both those things but was hoping you'd be a little more humourous. You've been a tad boring lately. Are you getting a little wistful saying farewell to your haunts around the goat track that is Eastern Park's oval?

Have you told your team mates yet or will you do a SBW and catch a plane to Virginia in the middle of the night?

Eastern Pk would not survive in A2
BH after playing in A2 before you should know that, and it's improved even more since your days
You would need to get 6-9 more good players just to survive

Hence the deleted thread from boozehound about SAAFL investigations. Probably trying to work out how long it would take for the investigation and when any suspension would start.

ELBOW????? Not even close....Couldn't possibly go anywhere, the umpire was in perfect position (about two metres away) and they send a video in from the coaches box.....nothing maliscious in it at all. One of the fairest players in the league who gets targetted and scragged every week and doesn't retaliate.

What is your logic here? If this is the case, any team going up would need 6-9 more good players (if not more considering we are two games clear on top). I only played div 2 in 2006, it's not like I played a decade ago....

The club, if they retained all their players and recruited two or three to fill particular needs, would be competetive in div 2 no worries.

Sorry but you are way off the mark with both posts.

EP in Div 2 hey? Honestly never thought i'd ever hear it. No offense to any EP players or supporters, but the club has done the right stuff this year to clean their act up and move in the right direction. If they do go up, cant see them staying in Div 2 for more then a season

Hey I appreciate the fact that you have atleast acknowledge the club cleaning up their act. Has been a lot of work done and good progress made. Still some work to be done. As I said before if all players stayed and with a couple of recruits they would not only stay up but be fairly competetive. i know the standard in Div 2 and I know the quality of players in this side.

PNU had Gary McIntosh play the year they went up. And having a player like Macca in your team tends to lift everyone. Thats why they went from Div 4 to Div 3 to Div 2, and the only reason they went to Div 4 in the first place was because their secretary and treasury took off with all their money.

Look at SMOSH/WL, first time they were Div 3 for a while last year, pretty much breezed through to have 4 teams in GFs and win 3 i think (I think Althestone beat them in the b's) but they are in trouble of being relegated again. And when you look at their other teams, only their b's are doing well

*AHEM :? * Try President and Treasurer thanks :?

I'm sure Scott Direen would be happy of being no-one of note.. given he only played about half of all games last year due to a dicky hamstring :(

Red Dog was the best investment that club has ever made.

Apologies FC, sorry i was incorrect in naming the secretary instead of the President. and scotty is a great player, like macca, a bloke who just by being there lifts every other player in the club.

Sometimes to match it in higher division takes 6-9 good no name players, or 1-2 big names (exAFL or exSANFL) players.

But lets all worry about this year instead of playfully arguing who will be in Div 2 next year. Who know, by Oct we could have a new team can take the "chocker" tag since Athelstone actually won a finals game last year

And I'm sure you had a great view from full forward at the other end! Umpires do miss things.
