The Big "O"?

There's a little "O" or two running around in the Gepps Cross Juniors. Close relatives, I believe.

Great win by Modbury on the weekend...... Hopefully get a few players back this week for the clash with TTG!

The B grade was fantastic 4 quarter effort and good to bring Henleys streak to an end.

Big weekend for the club with TTG at home!!

Can you confirm?

Rats off a sinking ship mate no one wants to play Div 2 but looking more likely every week :(

Don't know if I'd call it a revival.

Looks like they're one of those teams that won't have a cooee's chance of playinig finals footy but are proving to be a nuisance by putting a kink in the chain of those teams that are genuine finals contenders this year.

For a start didnt take a backward step on saturday even when the hawks got physical
played like a TEAM on a mission smashed the hawks early 7 goals to 1 at the first brake
game over the team we put on the park sat would have got beaten by all the div 1 sides imo

Only 1 change to the side that should have beaten Goodwood a week earlier. injured Jordan out who only played a qtr for Warrior in. Pt Dist were def a better side than the team we beat by 10 goals earlier in the yr and got the start that won them the game in the end. just couldnt peg them back. got close but maybe not enough in the tank after tryin to catch up from qtr time.

Is Jamie Thomas still the state coach? If so how many SN players will make the team for the match against Tasmania.
If they are playing that bad at the moment there should be none.

If they fill a fair bit of the side and we get flogged then questions need to be asked.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Not sure how many would remember him but ex Henley Shark and Salisbury North Hawk David Johns is playing in the E J Whitten legends match tonight. He's been back in his home town of Horsham for a while now but a few will probably remember his time in the SAAFL.

A great lad Johnsy, could play footy too and a brother to Andrew who played at Sturt.
Will never forget the clash between him and Adam Heuskes in the 2002 SAAFL Div 2 GF when he was at Salisbury North. Huey lowered his colours that day but he was always a great competitor and enjoyed a drink or two with us after a game.

There was also the other brother Tim that skippered the Phantoms to 2 premierships one of the best full backs going around.

So where has he gone, can anyone tell me? Not to Kersbrook with Coxy surely, someone must know!

I have found the answer to my own question, there is a prize for guessing the answer to;
Who is it & where has he gone? Pick the player & club & win a few beers with Ace.

You are obviously not thinking of the same "clash" that I am....The half time all in brawl where Johnsy and I ran at eachother from about twenty metres away to punch on. Was the culmination of a whole season going at eachother...good bloke off the ground though and was laughing my ass off seeing him out there. That memory of course made all the sweeter by the two point winning margin
Harsh but fair.....

Champion bloke and B&F winner at SNFC - been grazing in a good paddock and didnt look out of place amonst other retired and less fit legends.. was pretty nervous just quietly. would have been a great thrill. kickin a couple too would have been an awesome feeling. would have come into his own when the drinking started too. Great Work!
Ace - i thought Johnsy had Hueys measure early but you cant keep a great player down. a fairly even contest that day i thought. Booze, thought the highlight of that all in even though one of my teammates was a recipient was the king hit on Shane Gepp.. your ruckman i reckon.. belter!
