Looking forward to it Quichey. With this weather I am expecting the oval to be a bit muddy, especially after the magoos dig it up. Should make for an interesting game. Might slow you blokes down a bit.

My tips for the weekend:

Adelaide Uni V Flinders Uni - Will be a close game Adelaide Uni just.

SHOC v Angle Vale - Not sure about this game SHOC because of home ground advantage.

St Paul's v Henley - On there home deck should just get up. Expect this to be a great game. Also cant wait for somebody to knock Henley of there purch ;)

Ovingham v Athelstone - Ovies will be confident after there first win but with what I have heard about athelstone I think they might be too good in the end.

Houghton v North Pines Gotta have faith in your team.

yeah not always a good sign, if those players comming down are out of form in the B's could be a bonus for St Paul's at home

Looks like a perfect day for footy today. Would expect some high scoring games today with a perfect day for goal kicking. Hope that Houghtons oval has held up well.

4/5 for the Warrior this week. Flinders Uni let me down. The Blacks had been threatining to break through for their first win and did so against Ross Brokensha's Crabs.

'Return of the Dead' was seen at Mawson Lakes yesterday with the Saints pulling off a stunning win. It was the Saints though that started the game playing like Zombies, as the pacy Henley midfield, led by Ben Osbourne, made the Saints look slow and lifeless. The Sharks defence was mean and Simon Barnes was dangerous up forward netting four first half goals. The Long Break couldn't come quick enough for the Saints as they trailed by 7 goals and looked like they had the blood sucked out of them. Whatever Riddler did at the interval must have worked, as momentum shifted to the Home side and in an amazing 3rd quater piled on 7 goals to nothing to level the scores. The Sharks were coming home with the breeze, but they were now the ones playing like Zombies, as Luke Bisigano kicked four 2nd half goals to put the result beyond doubt. For the Saints, Scott Mumford earnt his State amateur U/18 guernsey kicking 3 goals, ruckman Shane Swift and Myles Cooper battled hard against Andre the Giant's brother and Rob Eckersley took another scalp in the dangerous David Loveder. The Saints will start heavy favourites against the winless North Pines this week, while Henley with the depth to have Vince Rugolo's talented younger brother start from the bench, are going to win more than they lose.

4/5 for me too I reckon. Under-rating SHOC and over-rating Angle Vale (although apparently they had the flu sweep through the club this week).

Beeeautiful day at Houghton Mem. Oval, the ground an absolute treat despite the weeks rainfall. And no Jimmy, we didn't let the chooks out for a feed, I plucked, gutted and got the ladies to cook up a player's tea during the week =p~. Have to commend the Pines lads on a gutsy effort, played some good footy and were well in the match for the first quarter and a half until we were able to put a few unanswered goals in the board just before the half time break. A recurring theme for the rest of the day actually, bit of an arm-wrestle for the first half of the quarters and then we broke loose. North Pines have some very talented players, and a few others who were quite handy, probably just lacking a bit of speed around the ground and a bit more class up forward. Good players for us were young Todd Birch who came up from the Ressies to replace our usual CHF who was having a rest, Stix who pretty much rucked all day and was excellent filling in for VC Franky Taylor who was at another wedding with his bro, and finally CUPNICK Ballatori who was great on Moore, holding him to two goals when he was always the go-to forward for the Redbacks.

A tougher test for us against SHOC this week, these away games don't seem to be getting any closer
