a bit of rain could make for a few tight tussles.

Did you have to turn your radio down, gee that man talks loud. You never know what you're going to get when you play Rosies, it's always going to be a hard game.

To argue that you'd let another club takeover your football club to build a pokie palace and receive nothing in return is ludicrous.

I can advise that the NAFC has an application pending with the PAE council to build a set of clubrooms on the lower oval on Grand Junction Rd to accomodate Greenacres footy club. They urgently want to do this because when there is footy on the top oval, the Pokie patrons stay away for various reasons, no parking available being one of them.
North Adelaide would love this to happen in a big hurry

This has actually been on the cards for some time CC, with the current rooms on the lower oval being demolished for 2 new changerooms (hopefully with more room for visitors than the changerooms in the main building, canteen, storeroom etc..

Also what developments have been made in the funding issue at GG? After reading the article in the footy budget i couldnt help but see that it took until 2007 to gain funding yet you have been around since 1995. Why was the wait so long for funding and infact to get a perminant structure at Harpers field? I would have thought a fair chunk of a loan could have been paid off in that 10 years or so as the club success has been good and a solid junior structure(18 teams) developed from scratch with nothing.

Captain Cordial wrote:FC, their first application was knocked back, not sure why but I think a bit of resistance came from the locals regarding the old chestnut, parking in the streets. I do know that NAFC do not want them using the top oval at all, they tolerate it but don't like it one bit! Don't be surprised if that does'nt disappear in due course.

Another bit of info I can give is that the NAFC are very flushed with money. They offered another club close by $1 million to buy the TAB facility from that neighbour, payable at $100K per year over 10 years.
Guess what, the neighbour did what all good business people do, told them they were not interested 'cause you don't sell off your assets, a smart move by the men at the top.
