Not this year i wouldnt think. He hasnt trained or been seen at the club for a few weeks, may have used the gym a couple of times. Hasnt really looked interested for a while.

I'm hearing you too, $400 for the man is the word.
We get sh^t thrown at us for paying less coin than that, maybe it's Gaza's turn for a bit of stick and give us & Salis North a rest, what do ya reckon?

fair call ace. i've heard they're throwin much more than they ever have this year at new players. fast catchin, and quite possibly overtaken the likes of S/N and Gepps (in terms of what's allegedly being thrown around that is, so don't be offended by that comment ace). years of choking has probably forced them to tuck into their life savings.

Whilst we are on the topic of money, what is the most you have heard of a club paying for one player in saafl, not country as we all know there are some huge amounts going up there. But for SAAFL i reckon the prices are half what would be offered to the same players in hills.

Money talk is always dangerous, we have paid bucks for players in the past so not hanging sh*t on anyone, but i seem to recall Sals North having Pascoe on 600 + per game, plus 100 per goal.

Cant say i know exactly what Lenny was on but the 100 per goal is a bit out there. He kicked 100 in his first yr with us so with his match payments and goals he would have cleared over $20k for the yr... i know the pokies are cranking but hell..

so is 600 the most anyone has heard of div one club paying for a player. reckon there would be a few 400 dollar men but after that thought all the money was in the hills. every club pays money for players thats a given but the amounts can sometimes be absolutely ridiculous when you have younger guys from the club playing for free and often being more consistant than the big names. wonder if you can make decent coin if you never played at sanfl level.

There would be a few players running around this year on $400 but again it's only a guessing game!!!

There wouldn't be to many players who haven't played league footy on more than $300 in the SAAFL DIV 1!!!!!!!!!

I think you'd find that there have been more Henley juniors playing in the last month than new recruits, considering half the recruits played juniors for the sharks.

Clarke is a SANFL player frustrated with injuries. It is extremely unlikely he will play, but fantastic if he does. As for Gaza throwing so much money around that they have 'possibly overtaken the likes of S/N and Gepps', simply incorrect. Let's just say a number of players were interviewed and ended up at a nearby club simply because Gaza is not in the same ballpark when it came to cash. But talk of money etc is never productive, club culture always wins out.

What a fantastic even Div 1 competition this year. I have never seen it so close where every side can honestly upset any other side without it being that great a shock. There would have to be less than 10 goals between top and bottom. Fantastic for the state of Div 1 footy.

Well I might be in a lot better position than you NM to know what Gaza pays players. But you think/believe what you want. Great win from the State side yesterday, anyone know if there were injuries to any Div 1 players???

Is that because the club hasn't paid their dues to players for the last 3 games.
That story is gaining momentum each day and could be the answer to the form slump.

i doubt that ace. i reckon it's just something similar to what they went through last year. premiership favourites til they got some key injuries, then just struggled. only difference this year is that it's happening a bit earlier in the season. so they'd be hoping i'm sure that the worst of their injuries has passed. but i would defenitely not be writing them off. well not yet anyway.
but maybe winning div 1 finals games is not in their culture
