Is the current financial crisis affecting Gepps X's results this season? Not sure if the players are out injured or not getting paid

FW, I reckon I can put your mind at rest with this one.

No financial crisis at Gepps Cross, no more than in most other places. We are still paying all of the players whatever they are due & they get it EVERY WEEK.
The lights are still as bright as ever
Have a multitude of injuries and a loss of form from some key players. All clubs get runs such as this but you can't pin the financial bit on the results thus far this season.
Nice try however!

The $$$ apparently ain't being payed at Shark Park after huge promises early in the year.
Gepps have nothing to worry about financially compared to Henley.

with there being a heap of shock results over the last few weeks, it makes every week an interesting one to look at.
so i guess there are a few questions going into this round;
will henley's form slump continue against rostrevor? another loss would really hurt their top 2 aspirations. and depending on which players don't suit up for them this week, is the non payment of some of their players true?
can gaza win agianst a top 5 side for only the 2nd time this year (i think that's right) and continue their good form of late and push their way up into the top 3?
does the winner of the gepps goodwood game show if either of those 2 teams are the real deal this season. i know goodwood are top, but a loss could really bring them back to the rest of the pack, and a loss from gepps would leave them a bit scared of missing the finals maybe?
whatever the case, it's a wide open race for the premiership in div 1 this year that's for sure?
also, what are peoples thoughts on who deserves the div 1 medal this year?

SHOC v PT Dist- Hard to beat at home although Dist have beaten 4 of the top 5 sides. 11-20
Gaza v T T Gully- Good game this one but T T Gully look a better side. 21-30
Henley v Salis Nth- The banks not helping Henley out at present coz they have overdrawn for all their gun signings early in the year, they are now struggling to pay weekly so this will leave them 0-4 from the last 4. 11-20
Modbury v Goodwood- The Hawks to take it right up to the Saints.- 11-20
Rostrevor v Gepps Cross.- After last weeks big loss the Gepps Boys have alot of work to do to turn it around, i'm not sure wheather they can.21-30

As for a medallist this early out Heath Culpitt (T T Gully)

NM, you are so full of it. there are no money issues at shark park. all their 'signings' as you put it, are playing or injured...there are no players not playing that have dubious injuries.!

So it's a typo then? Just has 'Rugolo, Vincenzo' listed in the C's at the moment. Would be quite a C Grade with him and Spiro Darzanos playing

SHOC Vs Pt Dist - SHOC consistently just under the mark, Pt Dist at their best fantastic, worst ordinary. Pt Districts 11 - 20
Gaza Vs T T Gully - Gaza 1 -10. Close game. Will say a lot about both sides.
Henley Vs Sal North - Salisbury returning to form. Henley getting injured players back but still underdone. Henley best side in competition atm if have all players up and firing. Henley 21 - 30
Modbury Vs Goodwood - Modbury up and down. Goodwood consistently good without setting the world on fire but keep winning. Goodwood 31 - 40.
Rostrevor Vs Gepps X - Rostrevor score lots but are young. Gepps X inconsistent, their best very good. At Rostrevor, Gepps by 21 - 30.

Just witnessed a very disappointing effort from the Rams, going down to a spirited ROC's by about 10 goals.
The best way to describe the performance is lazy, lacking passion, reactive and disinterested.I have seen kids playing in under 9's with more enthusiasm.

Only blokes that can hold their head up are Stengle, Officer & Clonan. No apologies boys, that's just the way I saw the game and came away thinking how much ROC's showed Gepps Cross how to play as a team rather than individuals and what some teamwork and desire can do when you have it.

That may have just been the end of the line, we wont play finals if we continue on playing like this and in all honesty, we don't deserve to be there. :(

Or some pay packets! Always hard to gel a team of money chasers together.

Pretty quick to start with the paying issues!!!!

How about Rostrevor deserve the credit here. Gepps were made to look second rate. Went and seen the game and Ace i think your even being nice with Officer, stengle and clonan. Stengle isn't fit and doesn't chase. I am a massive fan of his but his fitness levels are not up to it. He isn't alone. Gepps midfiled looks slow and lacks pace. Yes there best is good enough but they won't go far into finals playing this type of footy.

Bobby, if I were you, which I'm glad I'm not, I'd be more worried about having my team in Div 2. Fix your own problems first then maybe you can help us out!

hey ace, not being a smartarse, but what do you put gepps' form slump of late down to? do think that losing scott challen has had a bigger affect than first thought, and has just thrown the team off structure wise, or are there other injuries too?
