the PNU v EP was a cracker of a game. PNU leading comfortably for the first 2 and a half quarters. then when they were down to 17 men briefly due to no players left on the bench EP got a run on and took the lead. they're a great side when they get a run on and are hard to stop. was a great character win by the boys, given the circumstances and players out etc.

zac miller looks to be a very handy inclusion for EP. PNU were definitely lucky that it was only his first game for the team and didn't know a lot of the guys because he really showed his class on patches and will only get better. they definitely look to him a lot though. as they do with him, taylor and gatto.

and i wait for the bitching to start from the EP boys on this forum re the umpiring........ as they do every week they lose

Stimpy, I've had a bitch about the umpires on the Div 1 forum and my team won the game, it was bl**dy disgraceful and the inconsitency and p^ss poor performances of some umpires are having an influence on the result of some games, believe me!

Without question - EP are the WORST whingers and complainers about umpires - fair dinkum - every player and their spectators expect EVERY decision to go their way.

Not a bad team - but geez - get the chip off your shoulder and suck it up princesses.......

What a load of crap if you were there you would have seen the Paynham spectators booing the umpires off with a fair bit of lip and they won the game.

No one's sooking TT, as I said we were winners, as distinct from the Hope Valley lads who appear to be on the slide which hopefully is not a reflection on the coach, but the umpiring was terrible.
Incidentally, the only "people" who said that were you & our other learned colleague so there's a dynamic duo if ever I saw one.

After we defeated Payenham at Payneham their supporters on the balcony went ape droppings at the umpires. 60 y.o. blokes being really abusive to the umpires with some really bad language. They couldn't accept that they were out played and that they kicked badly at goal. If they had kicked straight in the 2nd & 3rd quarters thay would have beaten us. Even worse they had the better of the umpiring until their frustration showed out with their over aggressive attacks on the player which in turn resulted in them giving away free kicks especially in our forward 50 which we capitalised on.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Got your facts wrong there I think? You're referring to the first game where your boundary umpire cheated by calling players into the square early, just as you were getting a run on? - allowing two quick goals to draw level. Doesn't excuse any team/club abusing umpires though.

And yes, there are some older Payneham supporters that sit up on their perches and abuse the umpires all day - been doing it for 30 years - just old fossils who remind me of the old guys from the Muppets.

Same peanuts we put up with and they want to bag us about treatment of umpires, bit of a difference between normal banter and abuseing and threatening umpires from the safety of the stand as they walk in. weak as piss

Well I bet the drums are banging out a different tune at eastern park this week... Gallant though thier effort may have been, 20 odd brothers playing in the same side isnt always the answer for a solid team structure... and on another note, perez hilton wouldve been happy with some of the hair styles that were being sported by the EP players... Nothing wrong...

A great game by the BIG, STRONG, HARD, WELL EQUIPED and DEEPLY EFFECTIVE kevin koch in the ruck for pnu last week... So good was he, that he had the on ballers coming back for more....
