thx turk..it was a good clean game..we stretched it out to 9 goals at one stage but full credit to farmers they kept coming and came with a rush late..no stupid acts by both teams and played in good spirits which i commend farmers for..our nomination for over 35s team of the year was BOG and was backed up by our youngsters who all stepped up today..even old Art came into the roms to sing the song but he was 10 minutes to late so a few of the boys sung it for him anyway :)

plympton are an impressive team and it must have been a top game turk, well done..rest of the games were as predicted..congrats to LM as well in the derby

that is good to hear that Art sang the song with the boys, he is still ging strong at 97.

Great win by the boys especially with so many players still on the sidelines, big game this week to lift us out of the relegation zone. I just hope we don't un do the hard work from this week.

turk186 wrote:FC.. absolutly right the new development has been on the table for 12months.. just a couple of corrections to what you posted.. the new plan is for 4 new SANFL standard changerooms ( 2 for the top oval..2 for the bottom) storerooms, first aid room. umpire change rooms, club area and deck over looking bottom oval, light upgrade etc.

That is I believe the first stage..the next bit includes 2 indoor netball courts, gym, office space an so on.

Capt C.. change the ponies champ.."wells fargo" have more of a clue than the stuff u are trotting out.. There are no issues with surrounding residents, I do not believe that the new proposal has ever been 'knocked back" by council in any way shape or form. in fact quite the opposite.. and Norths are on record as saying they wish to develop both ovals and surrounds and become an "area of football excellence"..go figure..main road..good exposure..2 ovals..parking.. shall I go on, or will all the would be's if they could be's just continue to bag greenies, norths, pokies, cash, hard work, loyal hard workingclub members and the fact that the entire area just happened to be in the rightplace at the right time....Location,Location,Location......

...well thats a load off!!!

Just for the record, yes NAFC do want to develope the entire place, but not for the Greenacres footy club. Sit tight and see what happens at the end of the current arrangement.

Cheers zedman, it was a cracker of a game, Elizabeth had their chances and kept coming back, Greenshields was excellent. Well done to you guys, one more hurdle for survival, all the best.

Big round of games this week, probably the most even one for the season, a few finals shaping games. The reserves comp is getting pretty tight now, eight teams still in the hunt.

Scudds was in doubt and is no doubt sore at the moment. Never said he wasnt playing. No minds games....yet. Genuinley had some handy players out with flu, work and family stuff.

Good win considering 6 forced changes to a losing side

What happened in the B's, they kicked 8 goals, you didn't exactly smash them, I would've expected a healthier margin in the A's aswell.

Yeah, they've been on the move over the last few weeks, B Grade is full of surprises this year, there is zero consistency, I know we generally have between 6 & 10 changes on a weekly basis.

My insider tells me that it will start to happen as soon as the parking issue can be sorted. The council insists that with licensed pokie venues, there must be a minimum number of carparks. To shift everything to the bottom oval creates parking issues with the residents who are not happy that the streets might be full of cars.
If you could get a straight answer from the NAFC, I think you would find they would like to relocate Greenies somewhere else.

Pressure and competition for spots im guessing. kids grabbing there chance when they get an oppurtunity. everyone wants to be part of what will hopefully be a fruitful year. touch wood.
