Although Blackfriars were clearly the better team, at no time did CU drop their heads or give in. The first half was well contested and only the polish and maybe fitness level was the cause of the blowout. As I understand it previous years there may have been a lack of discipline in the same circumstances. Well done CU, keep at it.

Good to hear that they didn't put any human faeces on the umpires door this time around.

Ingle Farm winners in the A grade by 7 goals.
Rosewaters B grade winners by 4 goals
Ingle Farms C grade won by 2 goals.

Great results by the Farmers after coming up a division.

Well done Farmers. Great effort to beat Rosewater at their ground. Would love to hear a run down of the game.

I see Chrissy McLean back playing with fitzroy...lazy 11 goals. Thought he retired...or is he filling in when Hargreaves unavailable. They could beat anyone if raynor, Hargreaves, brodhurst and McLean all play.

Almost Flinders Uni almost :) bad luck boys keep going

The mitchell park score is actually respectable (ie: not a shill-lacking) - the boys on the up at the den? - good stuff lions

Must say it's been odd to see the Roys battling in Division 6 like there are at the moment, I thought they'd bounce back after being relegated and be at least top three. With the names you've mentioned and being, IMO unlucky to be relegated I thought they'd be traveling better than they are at the moment.

Big thanks to the Fitzroy people for giving us a hand with Brad. He is in hospital getting a myriad of pins and screws put into a severely broken leg.

Gidday Senor hope your having fun.
Farms got off to a pretty good start and just maintained the pressure all day.
Led by around 4 goal at 1/4 time and just kept taking their chances.
Rossies missed a few gets able goals but that's footy.
No 50 was his usual self and we had some 3D action up close during the last 1/4.
We gave him a bit of lip.

Yes, good call morell, never a pretty sight when an ambo turns up to a footy game. For those interested in his well being Brad snapped both tibia and fibula clean in half. He will require extensive surgery with rods and pins and obvoiously miss the remainder of this season and maybe the next. The people of Fitzroy were amazing in their help and I have nothing but admiration for the whole club. Then to continue the game after the long stoppage and play with great spirit then come in to the club for a beer afterwards showed your true colours. You have done your club proud.

On a lighter note, the argy bargy between old timers Harty and Lecky was classic, Joe played behind the footy for a change and every time he got the footy Harty called out you're clear old man go you legend, Joe kept at him saying I don't need your help, Harty kept saying, oh yes I think you do.

Grass roots footy is alive and VERY well. :)

Haha, that's gold, Joe Leck is having a great year.

Should be playing C Grade in reality, but the club needs him and as always he answers the call, even when he has old man gout.

Dead set legend and still cheeky as ever.

Did you lend Phantom your log in details?

Striiiiike threeeee Rob. Seriously tho this is clearly the game of the round. Both teams have great scoring options, a mix of inside and outside mids, running defences that work both ways, are very disciplined and well coached....... But more importantly both have a genuine ruckman. Should be a cracker, for me Rossies by 10 to 20 pts. :D

i was only 7 points of picking the margin i see once again G.Long in the best players............how much will the T-Shirts be selling for and how much of a back order is there at ingle farm after the weekend :D

Well that would've depended on the odds!

10:1 was what I had in mind...

Which gives you a clue as to how likely I actually thought they were going to go undefeated. Despite blatantly obvious hyperbolic posts which a certain couple of posters with no personality took seriously ;)
