They are a stand alone side.

the club wont allow it as a stand alone, its in disc but prob will be the c gr thatll be the mormons and everyone else will leave

we had discussions with them, & they stated no Mormons would play for us at any time (& vice versa)
Still, could you imagine them fitting in with us (C grade)?

yeah same goes with them fitting into heccies c s but if they train they will be the c s, the rest will be d s, but prob wont happen. they had about 6 train last night(mormons that is) and if i was the coach wouldnt rate them in the top 20 i had fr last year. but its only december

theoretically its because they always rise to the top.

SHOC, SMOSH WL and Raggies up to Div 7/7R.

doesn't this defeat the purpose of the c1-c6 grading system? - shouldn't then uni's c1 team stay up in c1 - after all it did win the flag there last year if the tiered system isn't going to be followed?

I think if Uni stay in C2 finn, they'll play the same team as the A & B Grades, allowing for some triple-headers which the league is encouraging...

i'd just like the saafl to have a hard and fast rule regarding it - at this stage if rumours are right div 7 will have 1 div 1 c & d grade (henley) and 4 div 2 c & d grades (uni, shoc, smosh, athelstone)
played in a triple header last year (v gepps cross) and it was excellent. surely the fewer div 2 teams in that grade the fewer opportunities there are for these triple headers?
plus i hate playing both wingfield and north pines because of past history and injuries. :)

mirrors the a grade. uni may be a little diff as they have 3 million sides but the c gr and d s are 7 and 7 r, wouldnt be surp if they left them in c1 tho..... where do you get the info on what teams are in what grades?

waiting on the saafl to make their minds up with which system will be followed in 2008. personally, i like the system by which the c1-c6 teams reflect div 1-div6.
as coach of one of those aforementioned million sides (c1 last year, either div7, c2 or c1 this year) i'd kinda like to know so we can begin to think about trials.

check the saafl website through the football operations sidebar.
i've based my ideas on last year's gradings plus the promoted/relegated sides from div 1-div 6 plus any rumours regarding new clubs, dropped sides or added sides.
usually most football co-ordinators receive a prospective grading sheet from the league as well. this is usually well and truly out by now.
