Agree with you LK... Not that i've seen too many amateur rivalries develop, the Emu's v Winefly's is huge, not sure if it's the Essendon v Collingwood gurnsey's or not. Played twice a year on a sunday every year, past players function every half time time of the A grade for past players to mingle and relive old rivalries. I remember a game at Reynella probably about 16 years ago or so and a fight on the field broke out down the southern end in front of the club rooms, needless to say this spilled into the crowd and it was was for young and old, the pissy little fence they had there at the time was bowled over and everything...

Anyway, every time we play the arch enemy both grounds are full to the brim with cars and spectators from 10amish onwards... I'm certain 2008 will be no different...!! Bring it on...!!

Now im @ Paralowie and our biggest rival is North Pines. Always a hard game that one

The RN3 I'd like to know how old you are, I played my juniors for Salisbury and can not recall being beaten in a GF from U10-15's.

A couple of years back, PNU won only one game all year, and yes, it was against the Raggies. That says something about getting up for a big game. I was devastated.

Yep, that's because it was the weekend of my birthday... PNU never lose on the weekend of my birthday.

Salsbury Nth still haven't won a game on our oval. Two years ago we played them in a trial and it was a draw.

Yeah the only time we ever won on it was when playing other teams like Pooraka

Only 22 mate. We won 3 in a row (verses EP,EP & SW) then lost one (v SW), then won another 2 both against Salisbury wouldve been 14's and 15's.

Biggest games at my time at EFC were the local derbies. EFC Vs Smithfield and Vs Central United. But in recent years as Zedman said, there is definatly a Kenilworth/Elizabeth tradition brewing. We all just hate the trip out there!

In the ammos Modbury / TTG rivalary would have to be close to one of the biggest I have seen !!!

When the 2 teams played in Div 2 for 1 year a couple of years back you couldnt move and the chants from each of the crowd was excellent and even last year the 2 teams D grade played on a Friday night and the place was packed !!!

It is true about the trial game - I think all 4 sides are playing the whole day !!!

In the SFL Flagstaff Hill vs Happy Valley is pretty big as well !!!
It is what it is !!!

ZC- blue boy made no mention of morphies yet you had to chime in with this...

We all know MV v flies is the biggest rivalry in the SFL, but the thread states What team is your biggest Rival. You must be the clown who drives around with the "Morphies for AFL" bumper sticker...

Valleys definitely biggest rival for Flaggies. Used to have some pretty willing games with Kangys too.

reynella would be our biggest rivals for sure. The crowds always big.Flaggies / Valley would be getting bigger now as Flaggies on the improve but how big are the Aldinga / Hackham games now????
If the only reason you play is for a beer with your mates after the game, your playing for the wrong reasons !!

I know back in the day as a little tacker runnin round at Shark Park it was always a big game against Cove in the seniors.
Regularly would you see the A grade beat the life out of each other and it be a close game.

However im not sure the "rivalry" is there between the Sharks and Hackham, I think they may enjoy the thought of winning a game (other than the sharks in 07 who improved) but hopefully both sides dont see it as a "rivalry" because they both struggled for a while.

Come on Sharkies continue to improve!
