[quote="Royal City"]Yeah, he has been sacked. Very inappropriate attack on a player during training.

must have really went to town on that player for him to get sacked. interesting if they win this week with all the goings on lately, it could be a slide down the ladder for the jets maybe??

Yeah they probably could!
You guys had some great juniors running around when I used to play.

Justin 'Snowy' Carter, Hamish Mcwhatever (I should remember his flipin name), Nenks, Steve Couzner, Terry Smith, teh big fella Papa something who played juniors at North Adelaide.

No wonder they won so many junior flags that mob.

Except one - under 14s!

Snowy retired after the '04 grand final, great bloke. Nenke hasn't played since '01 I think, Couzy and Smithy are still going around though, still quality the both of them.

See that Unley was advertising for players in the Sunday Mail, with excellent playing conditions (have they changed ovals?) and remunaration negotiable. Very interesting, looks to of gone all down hill since the coach was sacked. Also see that the 2's are sitting on top of the ladder

no, they are still at kingswood oval acoording to the program. it might be possible that some of the players also went with the coach.

dinglinga, i have a fair idea that the well know figure is, involved with the legal proffession and might have run for federal politics. this just dawned on me during a c grade match against unley today (they were belting us btw and had plenty of time to think about it standing @ CHF)

Yes, I'll be the slim, fit individual...
Not sure what number- 16,18 or 24.
A spot in the 5 is on the line, we (B's) lost to North Haven last week.

Here are the finals fixtures for div 4 and my tips

in the As

Rosewater v Unley Eric Sutton Oval
Salisbury West v North Haven Salisbury Downs Oval
CBCOC v BYE

Elimination will be a tough one to tip Rosies are terrible Pulteney shot themsleves in the foot by not winning 1 game out of the last three and i just hate unley. Rosewater for me as long as they can get some players back through injury

Salisbury West will smash North Haven the standout team of the comp and if they dont have a brain fade like last year should go close to winning the whole thing.

In the Bs

Ingle Farm v Pulteney OS Eric Sutton Oval
Salisbury West v Adelaide Lutheran Salisbury Downs Oval
Unley v BYE

first up I will go with my heart and say Pulteney should be a good game last time we met POS were in it at the last change but failed to go on with it. A special mention goes to Punky's mob ( Fitzroy) who lost to CBC 2 weeks ago to put us in the box seat.

Salisbury west due to their A grade side being so good will give them extra depth

Big Well done to my brothers team CBCOC making the GF and gaining promotion to Div 3. Probably will be a replay of yesterdays match (v Salisbury West) in 2 weeks time.

Will there be a repet of last years GF ruckus?? I hope not.

Not bad for a team that two years ago was playing Div 5. Good Luck for the GF CBOCs, I'm in Adelaide that weekend so hopefully I can watch him get and addition to his 2004 tattoo.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

dont think so tassie, there was a heavy security presence at CBC yesterday including police patrols scheduled for latter in the day (i left at 1/4 time of the A's and didnt see it). Anyway Salisbury West would be banned from the league for an extensive period of time and the sensible ones at Salisbury West (if there are any) would want that is it would cause even more problems.

Gavin Wanganeen put in appearance yesterday with family to support Fabian Francis in his role as Salisbury West Coach

Sorry I should have checked my post before posting it, rather than "hope" it should have been "don't think". Confident we won't see any repeat. I certainly hope so as I don't want my 3 yo and 1 yo to see the worst of footy behaviour which is perpetrated by a tiny minority that do not have their clubs best interests at heart.
