Maybe all players should hold off a little as Darren Mead apparently has a second interview with North Adelaide.

i'm hearing it isnt just radetti who is leaving either i believe there are a heap of players that will not go back to gaza if mead is coaching with his no drinking in the club etc etc big name players aswell that would walk in to any other club!

Heard on the grapevine that the Radetti’s have left Gaza after a problem with the coach.
Apparently Mead pushed the older brother to play the rest of the game after breaking his jaw in the first quarter. When it came out he needed surgery and a plate put in Mead showed no remorse.

& it involves the Dad being banned from the club for life(allegedly)

not sure about the dad being banned for life, he was seen at the club with the boys having their end of season drinks on sat. Funny enough the coach wasn't invited.

Geez, haven't the tables turned on Mead! He was the best thing since sliced bread last year, now the knives are out. From what I heard the professionalism he required from his players was a big hit last year. It seems once the wins aren't coming as often the players didn't want to put in the effort.

It's interesting to look back at the comments he made earlier in the year about Gaza in the light of the current situation. He mentioned in the paper a couple of times that Gaza were behind in fitness. Had he lost the respect of the players that early and was he demanding too much or were the players just to lazy to put the work in? Maybe after a few years of very hard work and little to show for it the just didn't have the energy left.

Saw them play a few times and they definately looked underdone compared to last year. Maybe Mead is better suited to a more professional standard of footy where he can push the players.

To what extent? I heard Life Ban.
Maybe Life= the length of Mead's tenure?
I do know that Tory is a great club man, & well respected at the club.

Yeh, Gepps Cross are a fantastic club.. Failed to pay The under 18's coach for his work this year.. Fantastic!!! Not the first time they have under-payed either..

You are a nong! I don't recognise this years GX team at all from the one that was in div 2 a couple of years ago. Where did all the players come from? Juniors? Ha ha ha. The juniors might be productive for you guys in a few more years but don't tell me your current crop came from there. If GX doesn't have money from 8 pokies, how does Kilburn have money from 4? You also have a TAB.

Those 4 little machines must have been working overtime to make what you spent this year or did you snip a bit off one of your grants. If, as you suggest, the proceeds from 4 pokies gave you this financial bonanza, why then did you sell two?

From what I heard they just didn't put in the hard yards pre season, missing a huge % of training sessions. When they added them all up it was a combined total of about 300-400!!! That's a lot of missed trainings.

You also said that your club didn't have enough money to do this based on the number of pokie machines, then accused a club with less pokies and no TAB of spending twice as much money as you(assuming SN and GX pay the same).

How does a club with half the number of pokies spend twice the amount of money? Or do you accept income is not dependant on pokies and there are more important sources. If you accept this then your comment about not having the money to pay players has no force.

Gepps did not offer nor would they offer $500 thats a fact! The point I was making ,is that just because a club is successful and has pokies, doesn't mean they spent large amounts of money puting a team together. Perhaps your club overspent in the wrong areas and on reflection should have spent that money or some of it on a junior programme for both football and cricket.If you think I am a "NONG" for my direction, call me a nong all day!

IMO i dont no why high division clubs that have enough money to wouldnt pay players/ denie paying players. i dont see what the big problem is, as long as the money is spent on the right type of players
