Lay off Rob boys, people who actually give the inside goss on their club on here are gold. The rest of you should let him have his say. Or would you prefer we all just kept spouting the same old cliches?

I agree TBS- without it, we would have no idea about the true state of affairs at other clubs.

I spoke to a Gaza player and he rated Mead. He said the unrest was with players who didn't want to put in the effort. Apparently he was analyzing opposition teams with video footage and AFL software.

Yes, its those clowns that don't understand or appreciate a coach thats willing to put in the hard yards so that it benefits the players themselves, then again alot of players think they know it all & hate to be upstaged!
Gaza players are an example!
Gaza may well get there wish, Mead is set to apply for the PAMFC U/18s job.

Geez if he gets that, Gaza will be out on a limb. Who will they blame that on?

I'm sure that Darren Mead knows more about success than most players at Gaza.

If you don't put in the work you don't get the rewards.

Didn't Ando get the bullet because he couldn't get the players across the line in finals?

Ando just got a flag in the Southern Footy League with Cove (they beat a team that had won the previous 4).

Perhaps the difference there is a well structured and organised club with players and committee committed

to working their bums off for success.

You reap what you sow.

Perhaps you need a player clean out to change the culture.

Perhaps RN needs to go as well.

I agree. Coaches with the SANFL/AFL experience of Darren Mead, Greg Anderson, Trent Mills, Andrew Jarman, Wayne Wiedeman, and now the Great Darren Jarman (sure there's many more) should be applauded for putting back into grassroots footy. Darren Jarman coaching A4! He could probably coach at SANFL level. But instead we have players who think they know better (usually because the coach doesn't play favourites) and show no respect to men who have done the hard yards and played at the highest level consistently over many years. I say that players/committees should wake up, find the respect these coaches deserve and be thankful they are prepared to make your club even better than you thought it was already.
