Are people who claim college teams are soft softer?

Played a single season in SAAFL and only against one college team, CBCOC, apart from laughing at their uniforms, I remember a few of their players tended to to crack you in the head in marking contests, then apologise if you took offence. Overall, I don't think they were not a hard team, just a touch dirty.

Agree there... Played CBC a few years ago and they had quite a few mad moments... never knew what you were going to cop against them...

Heaters not gonna like me much but Pulteney were probably the dirtiest college team I'd come across (this was going back a few years ago though)

I've held on to this aswell, I recall one of the hardest games I played in was against Pulteney at Pulteney, there were some big lads and they were pretty dirty on this particular day.

I've played in GF's against Modbury, Eastern Park & West Croydon, they were nothing compared to this Pulteney game I'm talking about.

I worked with Matchett for a while and played cricket against him. A very scarey bloke at full pace. As for footy i heard stories if you were in is way you wouldnt be for long. He did come to work with the occasional shiner too.

Match is a great bowler and has been one of the fastest going around however he is not as scary as he used to be. Top bloke as well.

Now at the time I was about 16, 55kgs and he wouldve been late 20's and close to 100kgs. I found it pretty amusing at the time.

Plus when CBCOC played us at our ground one of our young guys copped the most blatant elbow Ive ever seen and was knocked unconcious with a gash that opened about 2cm wide and 10cm wide across his eye. The CBCOC guy left the field and got straight in his car and left.

I'll prefix this with saying I've played against and known some hard and fair footballers over 15 years from hackham, but the prevailing attitude at your club, is dirty and undisciplined play. I'd be really surprised if you could actually judge the difference between hard and dirty play and will accordingly take several pinches of salt.

Which would suggest to me that:

1. You should wear a watch on the field as it was probably a second after the siren - most people are shaking hands 20 seconds after the siren
2. He had manners and apologised when he realised his mistake - that's not soft mate

Just so you know - when someone at 100kgs is running full pace going for a mark, we dont pull up like a 55kg person

sorry hawk but i think you are a liar, there is know way that someone tryed to take a hanger on you 20 seconds after the siren.
maybe a second or 2 but there is know way on earth it would have been 20 seconds i reckon the umpire would have the ball back in his hands after about 10 seconds.
