Shrekky, no special favours, Sunday's the day for a drink with Aceman.

We've got a 20/20 game on too, cricketers v/s footballers from about 2.00pm.
The Aceman, being one of SACA's former leading grade cricket umpires, will be doing the
"Billy Bowdens" from one end or maybe both ends if they can't find another sucker to help me.

If I told you that I'd have to kill you!

Forgot to tell you, at golf on Saturdays, we play skins for $2.00 each per hole so bring plenty of money.
Oh and enough for a drink too!

CC, not sure that's a good idea. I don't think we're actually on talking terms the scribe and I.
Now that would be a good name for a movie, "The Scribe & I", a horror story to say the least.

So what are you actually saying here Zorro?

If I can read between the lines you're either from Kilburn,(or you're Luke Hosie with a new name), not happy with your current coach, want to send him back to Gepps,(not sure we want him back either) and your detailing what Hosie has done in the past as far as cricket goes, is that correct?

Premierships in any sport are won through team effort, no individual will ever be bigger than the club or the team, not even a coach with 4 Flags or 24 flags.
If I didn't find myself up for legal action, I'd be able to fill you in on a few things but I'm reluctant to do that, especially where cricket is concerned at Gepps Cross.

[quote="aceman"]Okay, here's a challenge to all safooty.net posters.

This Sunday between 12 noon & 4.00pm, the Northgate Community & Sports Club is putting on a Family Day to assist the Victorian Bushfire Appeal.

All bar takings during this 4 hour period (excl GST) will be donated, there will be raffles, mini auction, free face painting & giveaways for kids, Bar B. Q, Ice Cream machine and many other interesting things on the day.
Staff have donated their time and will be on hand to do all of the work.

Here's your chance to support a worthwhile cause and meet Aceman at the same time, come along for a beer, some fun and a chat. Aceman will buy the first drink for the first 20 safooty.net posters that come up and introduce themselves to him.

Come along and help a great cause, lets see how many we can get there from this forum.

A very big "thank you" to all who supported today's Bushfire Appeal day, special thanks to FC for representing this site and for putting her hand in her pocket in aid of this worthwhile cause. Unfortuately, noone else took up the challenge so FC got her free drinks and spent a fair bit of time there with us.
To those who are interested, just under $5K was raised, so it was a worthwhile exercise and thanks go to those who arranged the day, donated items for auction or otherwise and to the club management and staff for their contribution.
The cricket match was played in great spirit, the scorebook at the end showed the footballers were the victors but I think if they were audited, we'd find a few extra runs might have been thrown in to make that happen.
Man of the Match was Daniel Hargraves with 104 off 60 balls.

Many thanks and well done to everyone!

Ace, just to clear things up, he is not welcome back at Gepps under any circumstances, and i don't believe anyone twisted Kilburn's arm to appoint him!! (against advice given)

So what are you actually saying here Zorro?

Ace, how many takers did you get for your offer of free beer on Sunday?

Someone told me they saw you at the ATM taking out a wad of notes, how much did you part with?
