Felch, all the Fitzroy v Portland games were rippers- the B Grade 1st Semi-Final (Fitzroy 1 pt), the C Grade Elimination Final (Fitzroy 9 pts), R1 A Grade (Fitzroy 1pt), R10 A Grade (Portland 5 pts) & C Grade (Fitzroy 1 pt)

Fitzroy A, B & C Grade all had a 1 point win over Portland- anamazing stat!

Amazing is not the word i would use...

There was a healthy rivalry developing, thats for sure...

I should mention that someone from Fitzroy rang our club to congratulate us on GF night, sincerley. Nice work, it was appreciated.

The Saafl brought in a new policy for suspensions where there is a certain number that is allowed for teams... and Salisbury West went way over this number.

there has been some speculation over the future of Salisbury West, but at this stage, they are in Div 4 for 2009- until we hear (officially) otherwise.

I haven't heard of the suspension allowance.

Salisbury West have been given a list of things that they need to address to continue to be in the SAAFL. I think there were 8 points in which they had to comply with.

Salisbury West is a proud club with a good strong history and a very strong junior program. IMO, I think some of there club stalwarts will rally together to lift their name out of the bad books. They have money (through pokies), I'd imagine they'll be very smart in the next couple of years to ensure they stay in the competition, they will ear-mark certain people to address their on and off-field problems and come back stronger.

They have had great success in div. 4 over the last 10 or so years and I think that next year will be no exception, they just need to spend their money wisely and ensure they have the right people in the right places.

so what happens if they dont stay in SAAFL or div 4?? relegated to div 5 and div 4 has 9 teams or one team from div 5 comes up to take there place?
