not sure exactly what the score was, but i know for a fact that the under 23's side knocked off the country side back in 2007 under bob cross. some very talented players in that line up then for both sides. i don't think that the talent in saafl has dried up that much that there's a 15 goal difference between the u23's then and now. if all the players are availible, then it would be much closer.
let's not bring in the open age thing either. the u23's has been great the last 5 years. thanks largely to bob cross. most of the guys involved take such pride in their performance and give it their all. most guys over the age of 23 would prefer the week off and don't have too much of an interest in it (most, not all).

Why are they training at Angle Vale? I understand the umps use Thebby or whatever but surely there's a more central place to train on a Wednesday night?

New poster yes, but incorrect no!!! maybe i could've explained a little better but cant read the letter received or didnt get a letter is wot i was eluding to!!!
The letter i hav in front of me right now says training is this week coming at the parks community centre, ANGLE PARK - where training has been held at least the last 2 years.
Maybe you need to shoot your messenger and get YOUR info correct and tell your players where to go aswell otherwise they wont make training!!!!!

the side got smashed and was apparently loaded with SN players....

i know jamie is the coach but surely, especially given their current form, other players will get a run this time around!!

They won't cut it down again until next week I don't reckon.

I wonder if they'll automatically exclude those that didn't make themselves available for Easter?

Here is the squad of 25 any glaring ommissions or surprising inclusions. Also I've always wondered the selection criteria re age. Is it under 23 as at the start of the current year (e.g. born in 86) or current season (say after 1st of April)?

Broadview - Nathan Grocke

Gaza - Alexander Haughey, Michael Kerr, Henry Mason, Christopher Papageorgiou

Gepps Cross - Jason Barry, Daniel Capogreco, Brodie Hudson, Dale Spurway-Humphries

Henley - Michael Gautesen, Seamus McDonnell, Jake Pavlich

Port Districts - Ryan Kelly

Sacred Heart OC - Nick Forster

St. Peter's Old Collegians - Tom Botten, Benet Copping

Salisbury North - Joseph Hay (capt.), Matthew Hood, Brendon Moon, Christopher Motley, Mathew Rotolo

Payneham Norwood-Union - Nick Jolly

PHOS Camden - Matthew Rowe, Martin Wilson

Woodville South - Sam Hannaford.
