Ok Rotter, why should Uni never have to wear clash strips while every other club is made to?

I can see Uni's argument that as the only establishment club still in the SAAFL, maybe they should have an exemption. Also due to the number of sides they have, they have to buy 3 away strips.

But have to say that the argument that it is time to move on probably outweighs it IMO

Stick to your guns Rotter. You have been there longest Rotter and deserve the honour of not changing strips. By all means have a white strip with the Black V. Just do it in reverse, but to make clubs like Uni, Kenilworth and foundation club members or those around since time began into baby blue or orange or purple or whatever is a ******* disgrace

Must have a listen tomorrow, could be an interesting show if there is any mention of a couple of upcoming events.

I wonder what the opening chorus will cover this week, Ben's recipe of the week is always a hit and I'm sure our Uni colleague will find time to bitch and whinge about something 'Uni like'.

I did what I said I would do, I had a listen this morning.

Oh my goodness, if at all possible, IMO the show's got worse. One hour of going around the news of the world, swine flu included. Turned it off at 7.55am when the recipe for trifle came up, they should be arrested for dealing up a concoction of trifle full of sh^t.

No more for me thanks!

I read the handbook yesterday and aparantly we (black and white) clash with Adelaide Lutheran (blue, red and white), but they don't clash with Rosewater (who are also blue, red and white). We also clash with Kenilworth aparantly (blue, brown and white). Figure that out.

And why are Uni so much better than everyone else that they shouldn't have to wear clash strips? We've been around for over 125 years and we still had to wear the SAAFL's baby blue gear last year against Kilburn, and the year before against North Haven. Stiff s***t.

Well pags we had to swap guernseys sat against the Valleys and wear amatuers jumpers, grey with light coloured teal with purple armbands.... mmmmmm Very sexy... The new rules are ridiculous the longer serving club shouldn,t have to change

This show has gone down the toilet this year.

Used to love listening to it last year and the year before.
They should do a little more research on each of the grades instead of waffling on about shit.

They used to go through each grade quite well and speak about ladders, results from last week, good players from those games and then used to speak to a coach from that grade and do the tips.

Now it's like and Pooraka are playing Mitchell Park I think this week, anyway back to something that happened 15 years ago. I don't listen anymore.

What is even funnier is the Wednesday show called Hotdogs for breakfast. I wreckon the last 4 weeks in a row one of the hosts has been like 15 minutes late. Misses 1/4 of the show! Come on Vaughn

Last week was the last straw for me. The experts, this one came from the umpire that umpired us the week before against Seaton.

"Damian Squire dominated for Broadview on the weekend against Seaton, as long as he is the target at CHF they will be a great team, he kicked a couple of goals and was a great presence all day for the Tigers"

Now, yes Squire is playing for us this year, and yes he has been playing well. But.............. he would struggle to get up to 5ft 10' and certainly doesn't play at CHF!!!! This coming from the umpire, i wonder who got 3 votes that day, Squire or our actual CHF??

ha! good call. i guess it sort of ruins the prestige of the medal winners then hey. which is unfortunate for those that have won in the past, because most have been deserving. but when votes and calls like that from the umpires get made, it makes you wonder.
but on to the actual topic...... and yes i agree. the show is an absolute joke. what we wanna hear is scores, best players, and the odd player or coach interviews. not the crap that we have been hearing for the very brief time that people seem to be only tuning in then tuning out for.

It's been going steadily down hill since Les Davoren gave it away. He used to ring every club on a Thursday night to get the ins and outs. Now its a group of blokes pandering to themselves.

If he got 3 votes from the maggots its an absolute joke, it'll just go to show the umpires love big name players.
As far as those bozo's are concerned on the 5RPH FOOTY SHOW they are an absolute joke, embarrassment, disgrace to the League & i Havn't listened to it since early last year but i bet their still going on about the commander etc BOOOOOOOOORRRRRIIIINNNNNG.

if you want a quality researched product.check out the GRASSROOTS footy show on channel 31 at 8.30 thurs or replayed at 10.30am on saturdays. each clubs delegate recieves a copy as well. production values may not be high tech but the show gives agood overview of stats, results, previews and more. the panelists have a vast knowledge of all divisions including C grade. its as good a show for content of information on each club as you could hope for. last year BIG AL even attempted to do a report on each club and visited over 20 of them.

Absolutely shit house this morning. I listened for about half hour and all they talked about was some article Big Shrek wrote and then spent the next 20 minutes bagging him.

Then when I thought it was getting too footy I swear this is what was said. "So we were going to chat about Div 1 but you (one of the panelists) wanted to speak about tips in the share market!"

WTF! They then ranted on about some experts giving tips on who to invest with and that they are going to follow these investments for a month to see if they are accurate!

WTF does that have to do with amatuer league football!!!????
Get a grip guys, your not funny!!! Stop giggling to each other over your pathetic jokes like a bunch of 10 year olds.

The most important part of this is does any money go from the SAAFL to fund this show? If so the delegates should be voting to pull it ASAP.

I think it's bloody hilarious satirical humour to be honest.

What more information do you think you could get even if it was run like a commercially operated radio show than you get on this website or at the pub. Plenty of you say what you don't want on this show but not what exactly you do want.

Perhaps some of you should try to act as a researcher for the show and see what you can get from clubs and that's even if they return your calls OR given it's voluntary do it yourself and see what comes up.

Frankly I get more of giggle on the way to work listening this "add hock crap" than I did listening to John Wilson or Les Daveron reading in a monotone voice straight out of the SportsBeat and displaying their poor reading skills in the process.
