The security guards put on the gate at Salisbury bought about 6-7 eskis in behind the bar that had been confiscated. I think the league organise them but they seemed to do some decent searching.

fs from what i heard (good source) he also had the gall to sell the alcohol from his van. pretty poor form abusing a neighbouring clubs hospitality. funny (ironic perhaps) the replay is at the presidents home club ;) ;)

Let's be honest though TT, it is the best ground in the north, and if TTG and Modbury don't want to be at Thebby at 9am for a 10.15 start, where else would you hold it?

Do I note a tinge of sarcasm in your post TT or is it just a great observation?

We hope we dont have to play on that small cow paddock again FC (no offence) its a final and should be played on a better oval than HV!

I know the oval is a bit worn at this stage of the season but no-body from your club should be complaining if it is true your club was selling its own grog out of a van after HV had put in a great effort to host the final. If true....POOR FORM!

I reckon it would be because the umpire/s is not available until then, that's my guess from past visits.

It came from nothing as well. It started as small scuffle between two players, bit of jumper pulling. Then a couple more came in just to break it up and the bloke in question saw his opportunity and ran in full tilt to throw his punch.

I'm not sure how much the umpires saw of it, but if they witnessed the whole thing - that bloke might want to find something else to do next year, at least for the first 8-10 weeks anyway!

My informant tells me one should get life, he ran 40 metres to deck someone and kicked him on the way down to make sure he stung him.

Correct Ace, the Modbury player has had surgery on a shattered jaw with nerve damage! the matter will be taken further....

I have just noticed who the reporting umpire was at this game and if it was how I had it described to me, I'll hazard a guess and say "farewell young fella"
