I haven't been on a footy trip the last few years but i rate cairns my favourite trip. We are heading there this year on sept 21st for 4 nights gonna be huge hence why i'm back on board again. Gilligans backpackers resort is the best place i have visited dj's and bars everywhere, followed closely by the cottleslo hotel in perth on the beachfront big sunday sessions! Hobart was a huge letdown stuck in the 80's and the town must have been hit hard with footytrips the week b4 we went as we weren't allowed in anywhere half decent.

Not sure who you play for Kickittome but we are also at Gilligans in Cairns from the 20th -23rd of september, heard nothing but good reports, and i cant wait

Hey piccachu i play for strathalbyn mate. Sounds like it's gonna be even bigger now! Lets hope both teams don't get kicked out after the first night haha. We've got 21 of us going with a lot of virgin footy trippers, how many you got? Are you from sa portland or vic? Nah mate haven't been since 07, but darwin would be next on my wishlist but. I think we had a small group of young lads go up that year. The young blokes seem to get looser on the grog every year. We had our mad sunday yesterday and a poor bloke set himself alight with plumbers glue ended up in royal adelaide hospital( and he was the plumber). Think that is 4 years straight someone has ended up in hospital from mad sunday or monday piss ups. Good times
