Walkies have a good rivalry with St Peters over the past 5+ years. A lot of ex juniors go to St Peters and end up playing for the old collegians side. We even play for a cup now when we play them. Believe we play them in a trial next season.

Also would have to say in the reserves comp Walkies and Adelaide Uni have a good rivalry going! Played in the past 3 div 2R Grand finals against each other. Uni 2 Walkies 1.

GG and Ingle Farm in the old days used to have a bit of spice due to the fact that a few Ingle Farm lads were instrumental in the formation of GGFC. Always hard, tough games.

Nowadays it's definitly Greenies but in saying that both clubs enjoy going into the opposition rooms for a froffy and a chat after all the belting has been done.
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Since 1994 when SMOSH and West Lakes merged, their clashes with Seaton Ramblers are always a "physical" affair and usually draw a bigger crowd than the norm on the occasions when they play the same Division. Here's two sides who clearly don't have much time for each other and generally have a fair crack for bragging rights on the day.

Walkies and SPOC have played in 2 Div 3 GF's in recent times (03 and 09) with Walkies winning both. SPOC did beat Walkies in the D3R GF in 09 and that added to the rivalry.

The cup we play for is the Peter Franklin Memorial Cup. Peter was a junior coach at Walkies while his lads played there and then coached SPOC B grade for a while too. His last game as coach was the 09 GF win with SPOC, which was quite fitting as his last game involved the two clubs he had been a big part of. When he passed away the following year the 2 clubs agreed to play for a memorial cup in his honour. We just need to get to Div 1 to rekindle the rivalry.

SOSFC v ROCFC back in the day..

KFC v EFC for a few years..

KFC, MPFC, CLGFC all have had rivalries with each other due to their close proximity..

Just on the topic of rivalries and although not in the same division in 2013, North Haven and Rosewater have had a massive rivalry over the years. Both clubs over the last few seasons have held past player days when the two clubs have played each other, when we played Rosies at home this year we had a huge turnout of past players.

I seem to recall two spectators making a sizable bet on a rosies v haven game circa 2003. Long story short, Rosies for the win and the lucky punter put on a free keg.
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

Broadview's rivalries go back as far as 1928 back in the NADFA

Clubs like Walkerville, Kilburn, Gaza and later on Gepps Cross. Those rivalries have stood the test of time.
In the Early 80's it was Greenacres with huge crowds at both grounds, as well as Greek, Greek- Camden, Adelaide Uni, Port District and who could forget Riverside always a ding dong battle.

In our C & D Grade it was always Adelaide Uni, Kilburn, Greenacres and the late 80's to mid 90's it was Alberton United.

College sides in all grades were good rivalry games as well.

With most clubs now having Past Players Associations these make for great days as well especially against Henley, Gaza, Gepps Cross & Port District.

Looking forward to renewing our rivalry with Adelaide Uni next season as we can play for the centenary shield again.

Uni had that much respect for us as a rival they invited us to be their opponent in their 100 year centenary game. To win the shield you have to beat the current holder on their ground to win the shield. Have to wait until late in the year to get it back from Uni.

I remember the Late Trevor Thain would always having a size able wager with the folks from Kilburn. Never knew if either side ever paid up but was a talking point during the week of the game what the bet would be this time.
2017, 2019 & 2020 PREMIERS
RICHMOND, RICHMOND, RICHMOND.

Let that be a lesson to you, Port Adelaide Sturt. & Norwood You don't beat Glenelg in Grand Finals and get away with it.

That was before my time, I've have been told more stories by older blokes around the club about the battles with Rosewater. That obviously wasn't a very memorable day for NH.

That is correct.

In my 13 years Rosewater V North Haven has been the main draw card on our fixture list. It was very heated until the last couple of years as either one of the teams has been struggling a bit and there is now more of a friendly rivalry. Most of the players get along where as 10 years ago that was anything but the case and I can honsetly say I still don't like most of those blokes I played against back then.
I have a problem. It's to do with the little man, the squashed-in French man, the naked little squashed up hairy boy! You know! With the hand feet

Certainly heated, well except at the visitors changerooms in the return game at North Haven, where there was no lightglobes or hotwater.
