Gday mate, nah we should be good to go, so we will definitely play you guys on Friday night. Should be a good game under lights on that BIG oval! Lucky i'm sitting alongside the coach in the box for the game!!
I'm proud of you fellas. You all kept your head on a swivel, and that's what you gotta do when you find yourself in a vicious cock fight!

Actually yeah just asked around, and it seems we would be low on numbers if we were to play on the Saturday, as we wouldn't be getting assistance from our U18's, so we thought a Friday nighter would be better to guarantee a game.

I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

GG boys, whats the chance of some of your C4 players being dropped down to C5 this week to try and get the double chance?

No chance mate. I think with the way the undefeated C's are going, along with the other 3 sides, blokes wouldn't be keen to be moving out of their preferred team especially at this time of the year. Plus it's not something we do at GG really. Never really been in the position to do it but I can't see the C's selecting anything but their strongest side. If our D's are good enough, they'll win. Simple.

It is reasonably big but anything is compared to your oval !! Its in pretty good nick at the moment too so should be a nice night for it. No clubrooms yet but the bar will definitly be open and functioning. Make sure you have a look at the clubrooms that are almost built and the second oval that will eventually become the main oval. The lights are great too mate... ;)

I highly doubt this would happen mate, i did mention it to someone on Tuesday night but this was purely based on if Hope Valley had forfieted and even then it would have been so some of our players get a game leading into finals! Rest assured the boys in the D grade want to beat you guys on their own without any help from some of us old hacks! We knocked you guys off last round last year to steal top spot off you so the boys are pretty keen to get the double chance and finish the minor round as the 2nd best side for the year!

You don't need to see mate. You're a defender. Just swing your arms in the general vicinity and you will either make contact with a ball or a head so it's win win !!! ;)

Was always the best way wasn't it Magic !!! First opportunity you get, a quick love tap to the back of the head in the first contest or a crunching tackle to give away a free (far enough away from goals mind you so they couldn't kick one on you...) and go from there !! Mind you, my coach always used to frustratingly ask me why I always gave away an early free kick ??!!!! Ahhh... the good old days.... ;)

Tex will be mate. He's Captain Grumpy ;) My playing days ended last year after the GF. I wish I was still playing mate.... Hopefully I can get out there for a look though. If I do I'll try catch up with a few of you blokes.
