Have any Clubs booked Trials?

Modbury did 6 weeks before Christmas and are back out this week with about 60 out Tueday

We have booked trials againat Mt Lofty, Gaza and TTG which should give us a few good hit outs ready for round 1.

Good run up the mountain last night FS? Are you still alive?

They may need to change their nickname this season to the "Motley Crue"

They are going to need some players to cover the want they have lost!! Zanker,Scurrie and maybe White???

Heard the Raggies have also picked up a Tommy Cruise look-a-like from another Div 1 club??

I heard that he will be going overseas for most of the season. When he returns he is undecided but most likely will go to the Raggies. Great player!

Think you could well be correct on all fronts Macca. I saw young Chrissy recently and he is heading o/s for the majority of the year and as of yet hasn't decided where he will play this season when he gets back or have the year away from footy. Great player who will be missed at Gepps but not the rumoured player I originally heard heading the way of the raggies, possibly another midfielder from the Rams heading their way for 2010.

Not sure if its been mentioned already, but i heard that pembroke are getting very poor numbers at pre season and they have lost 2 of their best players - luke skoblyk (spelling may be way off) unsure of other guys name. one possibly retired and i think luke went to the country on my mail.

anyone from pembroke would like to comment?

A real trier and been great having him at the club. Not sure of why he's left, I wouldn't have thought the Raggies would guarantee him an A grade spot and his lack of pace and kicking keep him a bit behind a lot of others.
Certainly can't question his endeavour, I'm sorry to see him go, a great lad!
Incidentally, very well qualified in Karate so don't think 'cause he's small, he can't handle himself.

That is the problem for all teams div 4 and below trying to keep their own juniors. When teams in div 1 & 2 offer the kids money to play!! Hopefully the point system will fix this a bit next year, when clubs start looking after their own!!!!!!

Come on you people. Scott turned up at pre-season and said that he wanted to play footy at a higher level. He wasn't poached. No money discussed. He is having a crack, hope he does well, but it is a fair jump from D7 to D2. It may take a couple of years but hopefully we can provide the environment for him to flourish and improve.

And by the way, I am looking forward to the points system more than most, we might be able to keep some of the 270-300 juniors we have playing here each year instead of losing them to other clubs. Don't get me started on that one.
