Cossi can you give us an unbiased view of the game and who may have been missing from CUFC

CUFC were full strength and Elizabeth had about 18 A graders out i think... it is going to be a long season for the Units :?

Think CUFC had around 8-9 starting A graders with cricket and other commitments, there was a handful of others who would be around the mark too. Like Carey said it was a trial, players were played in different positions and there were a number of new faces to the team too. Was good to have a hitout but days like that make me glad football is played in the winter, wasn't a heatwave by any stretch but being in that sun all day made it feel like it was a scorcher.

Take nothing away from Elizabeth though, they were very quick, ran in numbers and linked up really well. Think they may cause a few headaches for opposition sides this season.

Elizabeth are a tough side to play against will be hard to beat in div6, going by what a few of EFC players said they were full strength for a pre Season match, Central United far from full strength had at least 7 or 8 walk in A grade players missing but in saying that only a trial match?

Really solid hit out up at Houghton today, the final margin of about 10 goals really flattered us in the end considering we were nearly full strength and the Raiders had some reasonable names not featured. They had phases of the game where they really wrestled control and were able to hit the scoreboard quickly. They’ll be dangerous this year and I hope for MJ’s sake they can have a bit of success

the slow collapse of sfl or slow club committees ie: aldinga so pleased to be heading into season 2019 so many 20 goal thrashings ahead, gonna be a great year for our paying members, might get an actual win in there too
