Henley v SHOC - Should get top spot Sat night & get the 1st week off in the major round.21-30
T T Gully v Goodwood - The Gully's i think are sleeping giants for the flag. 11-20
Rocs v Gaza - Gaza's horror run to continue.21-30
Pt Dist v Gepps Cross - On a roll at present the Magpies & playing at home will benefit, should enter the 5 for the first time Sat night. 11-20
Modbury v Salis Nth- Could go either way this one, Salis Nth been inconsistant this year & the home ground advantage sways me to tip the Modbury Hawks. It may save them from relegation.1-10

A disappointing effort from the Rams today at Largs North and a well earned win to Port Districts.
In my opinion Gepps may as well not bother going into a finals campaign if their efforts remain like they put forward today. Lack of enthusiasm and intensity was very obvious after an encouraging first quarter, District ran harder, supported each other and played team footy whilst Gepps had some individuals who played well, but sadly, too few.
Three players can say they tried hard all day, Stengle, Officer and Antoniadis, the rest went missing for the last 3 quarters.
Sad to say it but lack of cohesion and enthusiasm along with poor disposal is very obvious, Jason Roe has a "mountain to climb" if the guys in this team are to make an impact in the finals such was the poor effort today.

polite way of saying most of these 'players' do not have the guts or passion to get the hard ball. absolute disgrace to past players who may not have had the ability of this rabble but gave their utmost for the club and jumper.
well done to PD, showed what a TEAM can do when prepared to work for each other.
they are the form team and deservedly so on todays effort

Maybe you should worry about your own team NM. Down to Div. 3, I see. ;)

Why do i need to worry about my own team?
Yes we are Div 3 next year wooopeeee dooooo.
We're not spending the money like some do to stay in Div1.
We realise the areas we need to improve & its not going to happen sitting on our arses.
Hopefully the kids from this year stick around as there will be alot of clubs trying so so hard to drain Seaton of players like they have done ( Pt Dist ) over the last few years.
We are going through a tough stage & alot of clubs go through it at some point of time but i'm confident we'll overcome this difficult time & regroup for bigger & better things in the future.

NM, on that point you are correct with the 2-0, not sure on the money aspect, however playing 18 games and getting into the finals is what teams strive for. May I say that Gepps will at least get into the finals campaign, how far they go is debatable, but they are not pulling out the "mothballs" after next Saturdays game like Districts will be.
Incidentally, it was "all class" from a Districts supporter yesterday to one of our female volunteer trainers when he yelled out "get off the ground, you fat bitch"
A really great thing to sing out to anyone! Congratulations and Well done!

The question has to be asked of gepps cross. So dissapointing for a successful club. The seem to have gone away from what got them to div one in 2002 and won them a flag. 22 mates playing for eachother that year. i do remember a time in the clubs history that that culture changed for the worse and it's not helping them on the field.....sad but true

Bh, you're right, but some of those "mates" up and left, yourself included and I think we know why. Unfortunately sometimes people make the wrong decisions, happens everywhere and gives those on the outside 'fodder' to have potshots, but we'll be okay. If not, we'll just lick our wounds and try again.

i would also be interested in hearing about your theory when the 'culture' of GX changed
and in your time at GX did you add to that culture or not.
