Geoff Ryles is a name being bandied around, not a reliable source though.

Can 100% categorically deny this.

That's good, because I'd have thought Geoff was busy with the Owls, helping that club build again.

I could imagine, he had bricks hanging from his arms, chuck in big Nev aswell and I felt pretty safe on the field.

Had this conversation at the pub last week of the best opposition players we have seen at opposition clubs. Mick Moss was in there, one day at Kenilworth he was consistently punching the ball (on the full) to flankers and wingmen at the centre ball up, amazing strength! He got cleaned up that day from one of our tough nuts which I saw as very surprising at the time.

FWIW we had Wittwer, Halliday and Bean in that list as well as about 20 names for 5th spot. LM who was the bloke at Smithfield with the beard and Mullet who I think you guys called "Viking" or something? We couldn't think of his name but was in the 20 named.

In terms of rucks Halliday and Moss were great, still think Justin Salisbury at 39 was just as good. Would have loved to have had him when he was SAAFL div 1 state captain...

whats he look like? I reckon we had a different umpire who may have done his first game last week, older guy maybe late 30's to 40's. Wasn't too bad but we had a first gamer and they struggled to control it at sometimes when it got heated.

Their goal umpire (young lad) also crumbled to pressure from their players. Had one play where the ball has straddled/crossed the line and he's signaled a point so we've gone to set up for a kick in while one of their blokes comes in picks it up and kicks a goal to which he now signals a goal and claims he never signaled a behind. Probably lost 3 minutes in play arguing about it, but umpires handled it after a chat and our boundary ump saw it and talked with umpires. Was called a point in the end.

Adelaide Uni by about 5 goals today. It was close up until half time. How much university exams played at this time of year is a question?

Yep I can't get sportingpulse results either. Mitchell Park up 3.4 to 3.0 at qtr time. We've had a lot of the ball but been pretty wasteful with it to date. Bloody freezing but great atmosphere! :D

Parks 8.9 to 3.1 half time. Much better use of the ball. Umpires the best I've seen all year.
