Where to for Seaton now back in DIv3, the first time since 1990 i believe.
Its got me f....d how a side like them could be relegated, they are a far better side than they've displayed this year.
I hope the players stick around & rebuild, the club needs you to show support for it in tough times.

Yes Mercy shattering really we have been really competitive the last couple of weeks with nothing to show for it. I agree its time that all members of the club stick together and rebuild, we certainly have got the youth to do this but it is going to be a long climb back.

I have not posted anything about the umpires this year but feel after nearly a season of putting up with inconsistency and at times outright cheating its time I let it out.

Firstly B Grade. It is time that all club umpires are taken aside at the start of a season and be made aware of their duty to remained unbiased in matches. It is becoming a joke when blatant biased umpiring is starting to affect the outcome of games, whats worse is when the both umpires become biased and all credibility of the game becomes a joke and the game seems to go between half forward and half back like a tennis game. It makes a mockery of the game and the frustration for the players is becoming enormous .

As for the A Grade umpires we have had to put up with this year, it is time that these jokers start realising that they are not bigger than the game and we are playing amateur league football, not AFL. These blokes should stop watching the so called AFL expert umpires and trying to copy them on a saturday. Time and time again the inconsistencies that these guys bring to the game is getting worse and worse, it is time for Mr Shadiac and his umpiring department to have a good hard look at themselves and hire someone who has an understanding of the rigours of playing footy but also someone who can teach them to get in positions where they actually make correct judgements instead of making guesses all the time. It seems that this is the only aspect of our great game that is not improving but getting worse.

To get that of my chest is a relief, good luck to all the division 2 and reserve teams still in the race for the flag, for what its worth Phos to play Payneham in the GF and Gatto from Eastern Park to win the medal.

Signing out for now

Whenever people get into pissing contests about the history of football clubs I'm always reminded of a great John Howard line.

"The more you prattle on about the past the more it proclaims your embarassment at the present and the fact you have nothing to say about the future."

But Donnelly isn't fat anymore - he's a lean, mean goal kicking machine 8)

He would not be fat in Div 6, playing out of a pocket or pinch hitting off the bench(or kicking players behind play) ;). I think we could make a sitcom better than Sienfeld with his efforts over the years with Gepps, TTG and EP whilst being on the ground at Camden Oval

Are you F*cking retarded? That barely made any sense at all and it took you a while to come up with it too.

Yes you're right the better side did win on the day and flinders did miss a few opportunities as did we.

Yeah we carried on a touch after the game but that's not allowed? All day abuse from that section of the crowd came think and fast as it did as we walked off. Are we not entitled to have a go back once the game is done and dusted? Must say i hate Flinders more than any other club. Some of the players are good lads and i enjoy a chat with them but the supporters have always, in my opinion, been a bunch of wank*rs who think they are better than everyone else.

P.S. when are all the tossers out there going to get some new material?? So bored of hearing "Go back to elizabeth you ferals" and "How's the dole queue?" I agree champagne comedy but surely we can turn the page.....

One of the best all year was the Pembroke ruckman guestering that we shoot drugs up our arms because we are from EP........The response from the crowd was deservedly just as stereotypical (and hilarious) and went a little something like this........"I'd rather have a needle hanging out of me than have "Father Michael" hanging out of me"

yeah well John Howard was a wanker....

Comments like this were usually only made to deflect attention from the fact he was too big headed to say...... Sorry..

Anyway go to a political forum if you want to bring up political quotes.... ;)

Abuse from the crowd happens at every game and as a player you should be able to ignore it and get on with the game. Obviously some can't handle it like the long haired bloke who came off late in the game and spat towards our supporters...which were mostly B graders anyway.

Don't mind the rivalry the two clubs have going but it's just a game of footy and beers should be drank together after the game, carrying on like some of your players doesn't do much for your reputation? Each to their own though.

I see Lachlan Sandford is listed as playing B Grade at Kilburn. Im sure they're not expecting a win with players like him the line up. Heart the size of a pea.

Well, I suppose a forum is to get a wide range of opinions but hasn't this one strayed a bit?

Talk between opposition clubs is always going to occur. Hardly worth endless dialogue. Rubbishing umpires is a national sport - quite boring really.

What about talking about the exciting final round and tantalising options for the finals. EP vs Broadview two weeks in a row - have PHOS got the staggers? Can Athelstone cause a massive upset to get to fifth spot?

Let's hear the good stuff.

Under normal circumstances you'd have to be brave to write either team off when it comes to a PNU v Athelstone game. The Raggies have more to play for but I'm just not convinced they'll get over the line.

The boys got taught a bit of a lesson about team footy on Sat, very impressive game style from Payneham. I think after talking to a few boys after the game, playing injured players wasn't the best idea by the looks, but in such an important game these things have to happen. Another big test this week against EP out there, win and we play them again in the first week of finals, lose and we will play them again out there, or worst case maybe finish 4th. Great comp this year, i think Div 1 and Div 2 will be super strong next year.

Who gives a stuff what they think the fact is most of the blokes out in the north are doing very well, and if these tossers think they are any better it's worth laughing at. We have all seen the shitholes these clowns live in just so they can be from a "good area" wankers. Give me Elizabeth and all my down to earth mates any day.

Actually there is a chance it could be EP v Broadies and PHOSC v Uni 2 weeks in a row.

As far as PHOS and the staggers results and the fact I have had to sit through it and witness it would suggest yes.

Athelstone need PHOS to beat Uni by a reasonable margin and upset PNU. They would need some luck on their side.

With regards to North South East West a wanker is pretty much a wanker wherever he's from. I prefer my banter to be a bit more based on humour rather than stereotypes.

maybe verbal abuse to one of the umpires? although 1 umpire was average, the other was pretty good, so not sure what it could be
