massive game this week between the saints and houghton!!!! shoild be a very hard contest and lets hope thesaints walk away with the points. well drilled team this year...... obviously the coaching from riddles..... the lads are as happy as we have ever seen them on and off the field!! makes a huge difference when you have a better coach then last year! well done to dino in the b grade too.... ill be sure to come down and watch this week!!!

yeah i'd definately the div has become much stronger. i played in Div 7 in 07 before i moved to Ovies and this year is heaps stronger. i'd say the best 21 that i'm playing in now would have beaten the best 21 i was in then by 5-8 goals and we finished 3rd that year...
not only is it strong it's fairly even. there aren't many 15-20+ goal floggings, and eben when we've been beaten by a few, the game is still a hot contest...

NG I'm assuming you're talking about Wingfield in 07? That was a pretty awesome side with the likes of Brauer, Birchy, Browny, Kaz Miller, Skunk and the Macpherson Bros running around in it....Ovingham side now seriously better than that side?

Riddler whats my chances of getting a clearance for a week and being able 2 pull on my #32 Black and Gold jumper, lacing up the boots and having a kick ;)

Always a good game playing the Raiders, this is one game im pissed i dont get 2 see or play in. Its been a few years so it should be a good reunion.

Riddler dont forget to give the jacket a twirl over the head for me if the saints win

I'm sure if you ask Keith nicely he'll coach both grades for Trinity on Saturday so you can come play for us :) I'd have to however take the no.32 out of it's frame for you :D

Any truth half the Wingfield side that day rocked up hungover or straight from a party the night before?

That Qualifying final we played against them at the college in 06 is the best I've ever seen Wingfield play, absolutely destroyed us all over the ground...Skunk and Miller grabbed everything that came their way.

hmmm... apart from Browny we've got blokes who could do the job that those blokes did. and i think this year our worst player (if you can say that) would be better than our worst from 07... and maybe not 5-8... it'd be we'd win more than we lost against them... pardon my exaggeration

I've heard the same. They completely died in the arse in the last quarter, I reckon we kicked eight goals to nothing. One of the few times I've seen Brooksy really smile

So apart from Browny you have a better team than what wingies had when they made finals and you blokes have won one game?. Am i missing something here? Surely the standard hasnt gone up that much. Ive played a lot of div 7. Riddler what u think champ?

Hard to compare years, but IMO it's no better than when we were last in Div 7. Season 2006 had some great sides, look at the top 5 from that year and they are all A Grade sides with some very, very good players, many of whom are now playing in higher divisions.

If i'm being honest I don't think the standard has gone up at all, could just be that most teams are more even now...St Paul's team from a couple years ago would beat our team now comfortably i feel....we underachieved back then.
