That is a ridiculous comment. Your A's take you up the divisions but if anyone really thinks a Div 7 or Div 6 team can beat a Div 1 res or a Div 2 res team for that matter then they are dreamin', unless they had a really really bad day.

That is a shamble of a comment. If u cant now agree that the calibre of ttg cgrade are are near equal to that of a div2r bgrade then all your harmony and sheer love and praise for ttg this year has been lies and youve been playin them along :P

My praise and love for TTG's C GRADE had zero to do with their B grade. I havn't seen their B grade for 4 years so how would I know what they are now. I have never compared MP to that and never would. The fact remains only 4 of their C grade finalists played B's this season and 16 of them are aged between 27 and 40. Not what you would call genuine B graders at a club now going in to Div 1.

Well im sure that most of the b-grade sides in div1r and div2r that didnt make finals this season would have welcomed the majority of those ttg c-grade boys into their side.

I wouldn't think so mate. I played against TTG's B grade this year and they are a fit, fast, young side and i would think the B's would win comfortably. Our B grade side finished mid table in div 2 and i would back them in to beat any div 7 side. I did see a bit of both grades this year as i played in both.

Yep Walkies, Uni and TTG B grade sides would be 5-10 goals better than a div 7 side. Thats said with no disrespect to the Div 7 sides, its purely they are full of 20-25 year olds who have done a full pre season and pressing for A grade.

lets not forget that out B grade only missed out on the Div2 reserves grand final by one game, so are a quality team even in comparison to other Div2 reserves teams, let alone Div7 teams.

You know, what an interesting concept, don't reckon its ever been discussed before 8)

Could Mitchell Park or TTG's C-Grade beat a Div2R side, maybe one of the bottom ones if they had a bad day but generally speaking, I reckon Div2R would win. Hold the game on a small wet oval on a windy day and the Div 7 sides would be more of a chance. There would also be massive difference between TTG's B Grade (which is very good) and say, Eastern Park.

The traditional argument on sa footy is could the top of Div 5/6 beat Div1R, which I reckon Div5/6 probably could, or at least it would be very close. The Div1R sides would be faster, fitter and younger, but the Div5/6 sides would be stronger, bigger, smarter and potentially just as good at winning a football game.

Tends to be a little bit of an emphasis amongst football pundits on here to over prioritise speed and fitness and an underrating of experience and intelligence. Doesn't matter if you're Usain Bolt combined with Steven Kiprotich, if you're running to the wrong places, can't get the footy, or don't play to a structure or as part of a cohesive team you're as useless as an arsehole on an elbow.

I was reffering to the bottom 6 sides of div1r and div2r if yhe coaches wouldnt welcome the top 12 ttg cgrade players into any of these non-finalst sidesand give them 3-4 sessions of training then that coach would be bonkers

I don't think anyone is arguing that marbles. The next 10 though would still be strong in a Div2R side, but it dips pretty quick at the C Grade/Div7 level.

Depth. In a nutshell.

Ask Jarrad Daish or Quinny if TTG and MP get along well. Young Daishy had his broken jaw grabbed and wiggled in the semi by a certain large medallist winning forum posting ruck man. No love lost there. Nor was there any pleasantries exchanged between Quinn and the crowd in the Pre-lim. All good, doesn't mean you can't have a beer, laugh after the game and wish each-other luck. That is what good sportsmanship and friendly rivalry is all about.

Merely because clubs respect each other off the field doesn't mean there is a "love in". I know off field respect and Henley aren't exactly peas in a pod but I am sure you can grasp the concept nonetheless.

And what are you doing still posting anyway? I thought you got banned because everyone thought you were your brother...

Yeah fair point. I might start shortening you to "u" and because to "cos" and your to "ure". As after all, that is much easier and pleasant to read.

So, has Henley given you carte blanche now mate?

This forum wouldn't be the same place without old mate marby, no doubt about it.

We will have to find our next internet nemesis in the Div 6 thread Yanky. Or we could just get into The Riddler again.

Riddler was MIA from about mid season on, but you still have Carey and Zed there to keep you amused. Q, Half back Flanker and myself will keep Marbles on his toes next year, don't worry about that. ;)

For the record, I had no idea he had a broken jaw. Whilst I don't regret doing it, it wasn't as malicious as you make it out to be.
