Surely this is a joke isnt it?! The Mawson Lakes ump was far from amazing, not to mention the goal umpire in the A grade who figured "close enough is good enough" ... farmers mark on the goal line in the last quarter and run it out only for a few sec later the fat muppet to call it a goal

sorry, who are the sooks??? i thought that goal umpire was you, especially when you said fat muppet

Phantom lay off the drink before I give u another hiding. It was a super game of footy and nobody from ML expected a % booster trust me I know Ingle Farm better than most. It was probably 10 mins in the 3rd quarter which cost u the game other than that we always knew if IF were in striking distance in the final term they'd be coming home like a steam train which they did & credit to them. I was pleased with our lads ability to fight back twice in the last after falling behind, the athelstone connection in Lees & Mumford really stood up when game needed to be won.

Knowlesy has your boys on the right track & that first win is just around the corner, gee whiz he had them playing with some ticker yesterday, they were hungry. Nick Lynch is a superstar! Really enjoyed having a few beers with Knowlesy & some old mates (yes even u phantom) after the game, can't wait for the return leg.[/quote]

Was a great game of footy thats for sure, probably one of the best last quarters that ive been involved in! Credit to Mawson Lakes for standing up when needed, they sure have some class ;) As for the Farmers, things are finally starting to click, which is very pleasing. We need to continue to work hard though cause reality is, we are still 0-5!! Very proud of the effort shown, and that 1st win should be sooner rather than later i think.
Great to have a beer with Geoff (aka Robin Nahas) and a few of the Lakers lads, great guys and always welcome upstaira at our club anytime ;)

Clearances mean little if you don't WANT the football. And that's what it looked like to me in the 1st half and that in the end won one team the match.

I would back beeroclock's credentials any day. He has been involved in a lot of premierships as a player and coach over the years. His observations are spot on. Half way through the third qtr, Mawson Lakes were 7 goals up and from that point they were smashed in the centre clearances, which is why Ingle Farm hit the front twice in the last qtr. The player most responsible for winning the centre clearances for Ingle Farm was M Smart who turned back the clock a few years. So, the challenge for Ingle Farm is to maintain the focus on the footy for all 4 qtrs, not just the last qtr and a half. If they do this then their first win is not far away.

Talking to the C.H.F from Central United last week and he said the exact same think. Got belted all day long . The way Ingle Farm tried to belt O'Gorman every time he was near the ball or not was a disgrace.

TOS by 90pts. Should've been more if we could've kicked straighter in the 3d quarter (2goals 8points). Played our best game of the year after a disgraceful performance the week before against Woody South. A pretty honest and open meeting after training on Thursday night really triggered a spark in a lot of our players. We ran well in numbers, our defence was really tight and rebounded well and our pressure on the opposition was fantastic. Kept Houghton to 1 goal in the first 3 quarters. Let them kick a few easy ones in the last which I was less than impressed with but if you had of said we would win by that margin at the start of the game I would've taken it every day of the week. The great man Q was one of the few players for Houghton in the first half to stand up until his hammy had a blow out and ended his game. Another good challenge this week against Ingle Farm who obviously played well against Mawson Lakes.

Our injury woes deepen :(

Love the way TOS play (except for the fact it carves us up). Same style of game plan we've tried to implement, we just don't have the cattle to implement it at the moment.
