Can someone explain this to me as an outsider? Being the worst performed side in the amateur league in 2009, why were all the coaches reappointed at IF? Were there no other applicants?? (that would be the only answer that makes sense) Seems to me that the coaches aren't being held accountable for their teams dismal performances!!

......something smells down there at the farm..... and Glen 20 isn't going to remove the odour!!

The greatest coach in the history of aussie rules could not of coached Ingle Farm to a win lastyear.

Yeah maybe not, but at least get one that can run his own drills. I have heard every training drill stops 3 or 4 times whilst he works out how it runs. Thats not good for teaching kids and not going to encourage any old players back that may come out for a look.

I saw them play twice this year and they were a joke. It will be pretty hard to attract new players and a decent coach considering their poor season. It will be interesting to see if the "new faces" are still there at the start of next season when they realise they are likely to finish bottom again.

Hotpies raises a valid point- some blokes on this thread seem to think that bumping along the bottom is fine because sooner or later a few blokes get a few games under their belts and the team performs. More often the opposite occurs. A poorly performing club gets worse with each season as the better players get fed up and go elsewhere, sick of losing every game. IF needs to wake up to this before the club backpedals any further.

I reckon its pretty fair to say that IF will be struggling to avoid relegation again this year. Maybe in div 7 they might be more competitive? What do you blokes think?

Gee, don't worry about it fella's, clubs have ups and downs and people will bag you whether you win too much or lose too much, everyone is entitled to an opinion.
When there is a thread that's titled "inglefarm football club 2009" you are not going to get good feedback 100% of the time. The thread has probably ran it's race anyway and if any Ingle Farmians want it locked then so be it, there are too many clubs for everyone to have an individual thread.

Just putting things into perspective for some of you down there at IF who seem to look through rose coloured glasses. A great man once said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result, perhaps you need to consider this when appointing coaches (and maybe other positions within the club) for the 2011 season?

Having been involved with Hectorville in 1996, we could've had Russell Ebert in our midfield, Fev at Full Forward and it would've helped one iota - as far as getting us off the bottom! So having a change in coach would've made nada difference.

PS. Went down a div, recruited about 4 decent strong bodies in the midfield and up forward, kept the coach and made the GF the next year.

I actually would've thought the club would owe it to the coach to give him the cattle to prove himself. If that doesn't work, then so be it. I also would've thought that by the improved results toward the end of the year that it would've proven somewhat that Farmers were on the right track, GIVEN that he has the cattle next year.
