White Unicorn wrote:Have heard that Simon Tregenza was contacted by the Adelaide University Football club on Wednesday morning and advised he is no longer required as coach for 2010. The reasons that he was given was that he had lost the confidence of the senior playing group and that finishing 5th in 2009, the same as the club finished in 2008, was not good enough for Adelaide University.

My take on is this is that this has been on the drawing board for a while. Just waiting for the ink to dry!

not sure if the weed would head back to kilburn. probably prefer to stay with phos, or if not, there is at least one club higher up that would be chasing him pretty hard soon.

Be interesting if Eastern Pk can control their aggression & discipline at home, if they can't umpires will be right on them which may result in them losing the plot.
Controlling the supporters is another thing all together, you may see half the Elizabeth police force down there today!

well done to everyone at broadies. a lot of hard work has gone in to get the result achieved today. making the hard decisions last september and not settling for poor performances. appointing quality coaching staff and recruiting well will stand them in good stead for future years. wonder if all the dads army knockers will say they were wrong now???? a great blend of experience mixed with a lot of young talent. very hard to go straight back up 1st year (phos and uni been down in div 2 a while now) hopefully now the players can put the icing on the cake in 2 weeks time
