I can see a heap of Tigers retiring at end of year

Doubt that very much, a couple yes but will be replaced by some quality players no doubt, was very impressed at Broadies tonight, no celebrations etc, coaching staff and players well controlled and know there is 1 game of footy to go

TT, I don't know if your cigar smoking with regard to the critics of the dad's Army is on the money. If I read it correctly, it was what happens next year when the "Dad's Army are rugged up on the rocking chair with the heater on whilst the Tigers are battling it out. Consider this, the 4 invitees to the Div 1/2 medal are Squire, Parker, Wintle & Stevens. At a pinch you would hope one of those (Stevens) will play next year. 2010 were the doubts not 2009.

Food for thought.

Edit - All I'm saying is whilst they have achieved what they wanted as a club and those blokes will be replaced by recruits it is very unlikely they will be replaced by the someone equal to Squire and Wintle and we've seen what happened this year when Squire wasn't playing.

Totally agree rotter, the descision to appoint leal and go down the path with the dads army guys can only be judged next year if they manage to stay in div 1. They would need to do some heavy recruiting for this to happen imo, dont know if they have the cash for that tho. the 4 guys u mentioned will not be playing at broadies next year for one reason or another.
And yes scott leal has been a very ordinary coach on the last day of the year in the past

rotter, think you will find broadies have played 2 finals without squizzy, and have won both so dont see your point there sorry. good to see broadies back in top div anyway, whether you love em or hate em, amateur league needs good clubs with good facilities in the top grade

Good to see Broadies back in Div 1, we will resume our annual "local showdowns" again in 2010.
I'm hearing there may be an influx (5-6) of ex NAFC players coming down from the hills to Broadies next season. Not sure the Uraidla people will give them up without a fight and if money becomes the issue, not sure Broadies can win that one!

If the weather is as good as last week, they might just find themselves in division 1.
