Im sure his wife thinks he performs like a 52 year old but no i didnt hear such a false accusation. As an assistant coach and team manager for the C grade i feel it would be a negative to the balance of the side ;)

I'm led to believe that you have never been concerned about team balance before in your so called career. The other rumor i have heard is Fisty for C grade coach in 2011, any truth to that?

No interest in the C's job Dr Phil.
No idea what will happen next year. Currently in talsk with GWS at the moment

Tomorrow's clash against Hills will be tight. Our lads have plenty of momentum but injuries and illness may paly a part to our rotations but our depth which was questioned last week and stamped out with authority by the boys wont be an issue. Im not 100% on Moody (huge loss if its so) if he's in or not but the next couple will see guiys coming back and realy put pressure on the top 5 to compete. I dont think Seaton are out of it just yet they have the talent as we do but i think we will edge them out if not be higher than where we are at the minuet.

The key to our success tomorrow will be clamping down on the Hills's forwards and the pressure through the middle as we did last week. The mood around the club is great and very positive. Its nice to look at the finals at this stage of the year and not have to worry about what the results from other games will be. Now to have the same with our other grades.

pretty ordinary turn out from scotch both on and off the feild. i know the weather was sh*t but besides their support staff they would have only have about half a dozen supporters there.

on old iggies. from a quick look they seem to have a few out (as everyone does this time of year). i think they are one team that lacks just a little for quality depth, after their top 20 or so. but seaton seemed to kick straight which will always give you the best chance

also kilburn got close too cbc!? phan back is a big in for cbc though

Staurdays game was tight most of the way. Both sides realy didnt take advantage of the breeze. Most of the scoring was done at the opposite end of it. Our lads dug deep in the last to get over the line. Someone pointed out to me that we are definately outnumbered height wise but i explained that it doesnt mean a thing realy if your game plan and structure is in place and execututed efficiently. Which they did. Hills were equally good but just fell short when we went forward and kept the space open.
With other sides results going our way we have realy cemented our spot in the 5 (i mean with a bit of breathing space). Am realy looking forward to what happens of the next few. We can aim high as the structure team and with blokes coming back over the next 2 weeks putting pressure on the guys in the side to perform which always helps.
Only critiscism from the game was the umpiring standards. Was fairly average buit didnt have much of an impact. (there you go Picapoo ive had a go at Div 3 A grade umps ;) )

wow this is a first, i am going to agree with marbles (in parts) most of the scores were kicked with the very strong breeze, appart from the last quarter were we managed to work in to it extremly well i have been saying it all year but para hills are really going to test some good sides on the stretch home, fylnn-sinodinos takes more contested marks than any one in the league and kicks the thing 80m, if his on ballers could get it to his advantage more often with in 60 out he is going to kick huge bags. hanson played through the midfield for most of the game as he was starved of it up forward surpisingly was very handy in the guts. on the umpires i thought they were really good till 3 quarter time when they completly put there whistles away in general play barely a free kick payed in the last. how are the 2 para hills lads travelling 1 with the ankle and other the head?
good on the Para Hills lads for coming in for a beer aswell after the game, its easy to get the sulks on after a loss and specially in what was a very phsical game but credit to them came in for a beer and a chat

Dont get too cocky mate, how many PAOC supporters were following your mob when you came bottom of Divvie 3 a few years back...swings and roundabouts.

So you're saying supporters have abandoned Scotch because they're playing bad footy? Need to look at the commitment of the supporters/members to the club if so. I'd be disapointed if we had a bad trot and the hill crowd disappeared!

Big (important) wins for SMOSH, Seaton and Portland Saturday. Huge game at SMC on saturday. Blockbuster!

so close to say anything on the division this year as we have seen, anything can happen.
IMO the teams playing off in the finals will be PAOC, Iggies, CBCOS, Seaton and Portland in that order with smosh just missing out but in saying all teams from 2nd to 7th can chop and change possition with some teams having harder runs home than others very exciting div

Looking at teh draw, the games that will decide the last two spots in the top 4 are SMOSH vs ramblers, SMOSH vs Old Iggies.

Out of those 3 teams only 2 can make it IMO,. I include Iggies due to their loss and tough run home.

Portland certainly have hit some form!

Portland also have a tough run home IMO, they still need to play PAOC IGGIES and CBCOC

anything can happen,
cant about 4 players back in the next 3 weeks which is handy but loose Gein who has been a very handy player for us this year for the next 2 weeks for holiday so this week is going to be a big test against kilburn about our depth. i think mitcham have really dropped off over the last month they had a good start to the season but seem to be struggling of late.
