i think the top 4 are pretty much sewn up but the fight for 5th spot is very much still on!
if we were to win the next three, SHOCS home, AV away, Nth Pines home, as long as other results go as expected then we'd be 1 game out of fifth...
how about other sides, do we expect Henley, Athelstone, Unis and SHOCS to fall away as injuries take their toll in the A's and B's, will the Piners and the Cats find some form and cause some upsets and join the fight for 5th spot? can someone emerge from the pack and consolidate that 5th spot and challenge the leading pack?
who's your pick for the Premiership at this point?
what about the umps medal? otherwise known as the League B&F...
i'm very much looking forward to how everything is going to pan out over the next 9 weeks!!! Div 7 is very very competitive this year!

I think out of the 4 C&D grade teams in div7 that only SHOC and Athelstone may fall away due to injuries in there higher grades (if it has not already happened). Would still expect them to be competetive even if this happens. Henley IMO have the cattle to be able to handle a few injuries in there higher grades and will remain 1 of the teams to beat. As for Adel Uni they seem to be more about playing with there mates then going up and playing higher divs so would not think there teams will change a hell of a lot for the remainder of the season.
I think that Houghton will take 3rd spot of Athelstone but as you said the top 4 clubs at the moment will reamin in the top 4 just depends on which order.
I would be careful underestimating Flinders whether you are playing them on your home deck or theres. Unless they drop a few games they could make 5th spot there own early.
As for us we are not even thinking about any possibilty of playing finals we would be happy with just winning more games in the second half of the year then the first.
As you said Div 7 is very close this year and on there day any team could beat anybody. Just got to make sure you bring your A game week in week out.
I would like to see a St Pauls V Houghton GF.

Of course finals is the ultimate goal, we gotta aim high. end of the day i just don't wanna finish bottom! i hope we see some results like your game V Athelstone, stuff to make everyone sit back and think about just how tough it is this year!
i would like to see anyone Vs Henley in the GF, then they would have no chance of stayin down...(or would they)
what about this scenario... Athelstone and Henley in the GF, both put in a request to stay down and it's granted... then Central Utd and Glenunga who are in Div 6 and getting belted every week stay up...

Henley - 16 wins
St Pauls - 15 wins
Houghton - 14 wins
Athelstone - 13 wins
Flinders - 9 wins
SHOC - 5 wins 1 draw
Nth Pines - 5 wins 1 draw
Ovingham - 5 wins
Adelaide Uni - 4 wins
Angle Vale - 3 wins
I will add though that predicting 1 week ahead in footy is hard so who really knows what will happen over the next 9 weeks. Good luck to all for the remainder of the season its ure to be a cracking finish to the year and hopefully us and Ovies can produce a few upsets to shake things up a bit.

i like it! here's my go at what i'd like to see...
Henley 17-1
St Pauls 16-2
Houghton 14-4
Athelstone 12-6
Ovingham 7-11
Flinders 6-12
Nth Pines 5-12-1
SHOCS 5-12-1
Adel Uni 5-13
Angle Vale 3-15
and it could happen!!!!!!!
then FINALS...
week 1 - we knock off Athelstone, St Pauls beat Houghton,
week 2 - we crawl over the line against Houghton and Henley Beat St Pauls.
week 3 - St Pauls will just beat us
week 4 - St Pauls beat Henley ala 2007 AFL GF style....

So from that if we beat you guys and everything else goes as you predict then we would make the finals........I like it
