winners for the start of the second round...

St Pauls - Athelstone, 36pts. will repay Athelstone for their first round defeat and give themselves some room at the top.
Last time they met Athelstone by 52

Ovingham - Sacred Heart, 29pts. will get back onto the winners list this week after a great effort against St Pauls last week. SHOCS haven't won since Rd 4...
Last time they met SHOCS by 50

Houghton - Flinders Uni, 43pts. not enough crabs will make the journey to trouble the Raiders who will consolidate 4th spot on the table comfortably.
Last time they met Houghton by 99

Adelaide Uni - Henley, 50pts. Sharks will go to town on the uni boys
Last time they met Henley by 91

North Pines - Angle Vale, 17pts. The Vale seem to have dropped off a bit and the Piners are finding form, should be a close one
Last time they met Angle Vale by 82

bit premature for me to be predicting so early in my Div 7 career,
but here goes...

St.Pauls - look to be travelling well
Ovies - has set last outing a benchmark mark, and expects nothing less.
Houghton - at home, but beware of the crabs
Henley - going well across all div's, no supprise here.
North Pines - have their tails up and keen to string 2 together.

Good luck fella's!
Good Luck Ovies!

Squirted an umpire with water and tipped the umpire's hat off.

He had a heated dispute with an umpire and when the umpire sent him off he squirted water at him and knocked his hat of his head twice. During the game the umpire was an absolute knob but from what I was told by the club the umpire actually helped our player not get more games. Just shows that umpires are a rare breed.

I dont think he should have got any more. The umpire was asked did he feel threatened at all or that he was in danger and the ump said NO. The ump said that at no stage did he threaten him or anything just that he lost his cool and made a silly mistake. The league knew that he had already been suspended for 1 game (red card) so if they wanted to stop him from playing again they would have just given him 2 more games. Common sense prevailed on this one IMO

surprised - the ttg umpire we had this year was different (younger and bearded) to the one of the last few years - and was actually quite fair while the other guy was exactly what you said. best thing was that they got so used to being helped that neutral umpires in finals just blew them away.

Hmm or was it the other way around??? The bloke was a peanut, the umpire has been umpiring for 25 years and is a neutral umpire - ie SHOC recruited him to do the D Grade. Sorry but peanuts like that should have the book thrown at them.

Hey champ not to sure of your idea of neutral but the ump was a blatten cheat all day long. The bloke in question is a top bloke and this was way out of character. Before you go around calling people peanuts I would have a good hard look at your own team. Look forward to playing you blokes on the return leg. hahahaha peanut that is sure to give the boys something to laugh about at the club.

i've never had book (whom i suppose you're referring to) umpire so can only comment on the grade i've been directly involved in - which exposed me to the ttg c grade umpire.
its also not a pissing contest just a direct comment on a specific umpire :)

Not having a go at you, but good to see the shoe on the other foot, now you may realize how the majority of other teams feel week in week out with book and his blatantly biased and out right cheating ways.
