Ovingham v Sacred Heart OC
Results unavailable - scores obviously not done, but SHOC absolutely thumped us, can't remember score and to be honest didn't really want to count it, but i'd say 10-12 goals min.. probably more. They were prepared to run for each other in numbers and we weren't.

Adelaide University 7.5 47 v Henley 13.11 89 - thought this would be a blowout if any were gonna be
St Paul's OS 6.7 43 v Athelstone 16.14 110 - Ouch Riddler wouldn't be happy.
Houghton Districts 25.18 168 v Flinders University 10.2 62 - belted
North Pines 12.10 82 v Angle Vale 14.9 93 - bit of a arm wrestle

Could've been TT, he played a few games there last year. I thought he was coaching Eagles Reserves this year though.

2/5 for me  Ovingham and North Pines couldn't back it up after brave performances, and the Saints winning run stops at 8.

Two top 5 sides took to the field at Mawson Lakes after dissapointing results the previous week, and it would be interesting to see who responded the best. Athelstone had been the only team to master St.Pauls OS during the first round and the Saints would have been keen to reverse the Round 1 result. It wasn't to be, as the Raggies won the toss and kicked with an unusual Northerley breeze and were quick out the blocks. Ex SANFL player Mark Jeffries was a surprise starter for the Raggies, and he made his presence felt early with many clearances and kicked a couple of goals. It's midfied contingent was on top, with Benjamin Cashin and Matthew Schibani prominent. Things only got worse for the Saints when it's best defender Daniel Kuzniecow went off with a shoulder injury early in the 2nd term and this freed up Jason Bielak who finished off with 6 goals. Luke Grivell controlled half forward, while Jeffries finished off with 5 majors himself. Luke Tarca was clearly BOG, unpassable at CHB taking several contested marks and was a thorn in the St.Pauls side all day. For the Saints, Skipper Lachlan Kennett was their best and Travis Smits had his moments, but they didn't have a player on the ground who won their position. The Riddler would be upset with his sides worst performance of the season, and will no doubt look for some names to return as with a lift in effort from others if they are going to return to their winning ways next week against the Crabs. Athelstone will look to cement the prized double chance against the Raiders this week and have clearly been the best side St.Pauls OS have come up against this season.

He is coaching the Eagles Reserves and they play the Panthers today (Sunday) freeing him up to play on Saturdays.

Excellent write up Warrior...

Mark plays when he can, he is good mates with the coach. Also, his father Wayne played 281 games for the Raggies.

Indeed it was and let me tell you he hasn't lost it...absolutely destroyed us!

No excuses from us we were beaten by a far superior side...they were bigger, stronger and a more determined outfit than us...not sure what happened with them against North Pines but they were out to make a mends for it....clearly the best side we've played this year, if they carry that game into a finals series LOOK OUT!

We looked really flat, could be the reality check we needed...beauty of football is there's always next week.

88 point loss in the end to us! extremely poor effort put up by our lads on the weekend!

SHOCS 21.19.145 def Ovingham 8.9.57

not too many winners on the ground at all, Jacob Bennett at FB was great, Michael O'Brien played a different role CHB and was solid but we missed him in the midfield. and maybe 2-3 others could put their hand up and say they had a crack but not enough contributors.

will get back into the side a few guns in Roger Jurina, Lance Long, Roger Priess and Shane Rigney for next week and look to turn things around after a dismal effort.
I am not talking to you for 3 minutes because you punched me in the head and it hurt and that was not okay for you to do

Dissapointing day on Saturday for the Piners.
Got the early jump kicking with the breeze in the first quarter and went oin at quarter time up by 4 goals. Held them to 1 goal I think for the majority of the 2nd until we fell asleep for the final 5 mins and Angle Vale piled on 4 goals to go in at the main break up by a goal I think. The breeze died of in the last half but there was still a slight one which we did not take advantage of in the 3rd. Was a real arm wrestle for the second half. We had 2 chances late in the last to steal the game but we could not convert our chances and on the siren Angle Vale kicked 1 last goal to give them a 9 point win.
We had 2 completely different umpires on the weekend 1 that let the play go on which was good to see and the other that thought he was umpiring netball. Was very frustrating for players and all spectators watching. But in the end the umpiring by both was consistant through out just miles apart in the way they umpire.
We now have to put this game behind us and focus on the tough task ahead in Henley @ Henley and try causing an upset.

Not bad for a guy that started the season as a midfielder.

Where's he come from Bigshow? Seems to be a very handy pick up.

Brendon played for you guys. Brendon and Nat are now both at the Pines. Nat is the one kicking all the goals.

Nat played out at the Pines a few years ago. Mal and him are good friends so he dragged him out. He has played most of the games this year but did miss a few in the middle due to a niggling injury. He is a machine and very fit.

Brendon played the first game of the year and hurt his back and we have not seen him since.

Bit pissed that I have to front up to Tribunal & Investigations committee tonight, when I should be at Footy training.
Approached the SAAFL in regards to putting all I know to paper and was flattly rejected.
The good oil is that it could be a long night and the Cats could be the topic of a few discussions.

Although my script is not quite going to plan.. I hadn't even considered doing all this crap... Great.
