Have seen a lot of posts on here about how this Knowles bloke has changed the culture of the club
Ha so blokes getting king hit every week & now teams being locked in change rooms waiting for cops to arrive as a near on riot is happening outside between IF supporters, Im glad the culture has changed!! how bad must it of been before he got to IF..
Really feel for the skipper who's what 44 & best player by far & still watching this rubbish they dish out every week!
0-6 good choice of coach :Hangman: my kid will never play for them again

Not the coaches fault pal.
Look at the admin and the people who are meant to make the coaches job as smooth as possible.

That's off the mark

Way off the mark IMO.

Who lets people intimidate visitors to the club by letting them charge on all day 5 mtrs from the clubs entrance? Admin.
What sort of an example does that set to young players that go and watch?
How is that the coaches fault?

Not the coaches fault at all. the actions of a individual who is not a member and rarely at the club can not be blamed on anyone apart from the man himself. Yes there is many things that need to change and there is people making a real effort to do this, people like this need to be gone forever. Unfortunately there is younger members of the family that will lose out. Maybe the club needs a dry zone . I would like to thank some posters on here who could of sank the boots in but held off and have given encouragement.

Let the coach do what he does best and let the admin take care of the rest. Disruptions are a part of footy, but if the playing group and the coaching staff are on the same page, then it will get sorted real soon. Move on lads.

Even though I am from the opposition and the last 2 times we have played you I have witnessed some of the most unbelievable incidents in my time in footy I can honestly say that after speaking with not only the coach but also a number of committed Ingle Farm club people that there is no way that the coach is to blame. He did the right thing and took the lad off to cool his heels and what happened after that he had no control over whatsoever. I'm sure that Ingle Farm will use this incident from the weekend to help put in place whatever measures they can to improve their club's reputation. It's obviously not going to be easy because a few incidents in the last few years have tarnished the clubs reputation badly.

Unfortunately coaches learn to control the controllables. What happened is an uncontrollable from a coaching perspective. Just sayin'

Anyone who kicks another bloke on the football field should be banned from life!

Will it take someone to die in an assault on a sporting field before assaults on sporting fields are taken more serious. Why should trying to kick someone on a football field be any different to trying to kick someone in a pub brawl.

PG you are clearly a passionate Farmer. I feel for Knowlsey a lot, as you would be aware MP and IF have similar reps. Last season I worked hard on getting the playing group focused but spent more time getting rid of the idiot mentality. I took this year to recruit quality people who were disciplined. I have no doubt that is where Wayne's head is, so, to coin a phrase, "get around him" it takes time. Good luck.

mcdonnell still there, still thumping people, still gettin games at tribunal, still idiot mentality. coach still trying to pick & play his best team when sometimes need to draw the line and get rid of thugs. oh well will happen shortly cant have to many more games left until suspended from league.

Has been a saint for years until he retaliated and slapped a bloke. I think someone is a tad bitter. Have you been on the end of a Luke McDonnell bag of goals?

Just as an aside Mitchell Park have had one of the better discipline records in the SAAFL for a long time now. That reputation is an old one and an undeserved one.

$5

A bit steep, maybe at $4 the supporters would be more inclined to buy their beer to support the club. It is pretty rude to sit right by the doors with esky's though. At Smithfield it's always been difficult as the club is not right next to the oval and there's a drive-thru right across the road.
When I was chairman we sold them at $3 while the match was on to keep the patronage from going across the road, even now at $3 you'd make $45 to $50 profit per box...................a little profit, lots of times opposed to large profit, less.

Is some of the current issues facing Ingle Farm at the moment behind the reason Paul Niven left? I have been told of a certain pre season DVD from a club that is supported highly on here where Nivo said it is good to be at a real club now.
Could he see this coming?

I like that idea LM and have tried to get my club to reduce beer prices whilst the game is on to encourage patrons to drink over the bar. Also I see it as a good way of keeping the B grade at the ground and rewarding them.

I don't think what he said was a dig at ingle farm specifically, more so about his thoughts on Hope Valley...
