Adelaide Uni game where the umpire made a very interesting comment after not paying a free kick, he was then approached and asked about the comment, i beleive he felt threatened by the question/questioner and now there is an investigation regarding it...

correct Ambo?

Spot on Nugget..
Less than professional comment from Umpire and some continued questioning from a Club official.
But I believe we may hear a bit extra about other issues also.

Well we got a shock at the investigation,
but if we recieved a copy of the complaint like we were suppose to we may have been prepared.

We thought we were going to defend Chris Newman, who was my runner for the day and had a bit to say.
But the complaint was Umpire abuse by me and blocking the umpires path when leaving the ground???

I admitted to saying "F@#ing disgraceful", but not to any prefix like "Your" and deffinately not to obstructing an umpires exit.. I was glad to see the back of him to be honest.
In the end.. 2 weeks suspended sentence until seasons end and any further indescretion added on as extra weeks (2weeks + whatever).

3 weeks in and the new boy has been wrapped over the knuckles already.

With all the amounts of weeks being thrown around in there involving umpires this is a very lucky penalty Ambo....Was umpire held accountable for his comments/actions?

No accountability required by the umpire, who was allow to leave early.. In the end it comes down to "he said this and he said that" which is very hard to blame anyone for anything.
I was sure that I was going to be made an example of, regardless if they thought it was directed at an umpire or not.. the fact that I took some ownership of what was supposedly said probably helped my cause.. but not my integrity.

Gossy say G'Day to Big Ross.B for me.
Know him from the days Flinders attended the Wunkar Carnival and I won the B grade coaching job at Morphettvile Park when he was coaching there.. but declined the position.
Look forward to mixing it with him and the Crabs in a few weeks.

is there anyone from AV or Athelstone posting on here?

we have Ovingham, Piners, Houghton, St Pauls, Henley, Adel. Uni and now Flinders Uni... not too bad... good spread of different clubs.

Winners this week.

Athelstone V Houghton, 22pts. After a big away win over St Pauls the Raggies will continue their winning ways and account for the raiders
LLTM: Athelstone 17.14.116 def Houghton 14.13.97

SHOC V Adel. Uni, 62pts. SHOC smashed us last week and play their home ground very well, look good for 5th spot
LTTM: SHOC 15.10.100 def Adel. Uni 14.12.96

Henley V North Pines, 56pts. Pines are on the way up but won't have enough to get over the Sharks
LTTM: Henley 12.11.83 def Nth. Pines 7.3.45

Angle Vale V Ovingham, 17pts. Have some quality ins this week which will easily account for myself being NA. will be a tough and tight encouter, Jurina BOG, Elma 6 sausage rolls
LTTM: Angle Vale 17.15.117 def Ovingham 13.11.89

Flinders V St Pauls, 34pts. can't see Riddlers boys losing two in a row although Flinders play their ground very well, wouldn't be too surprised with an upset.
LTTM: St Pauls 13.9.87 def Flinders 6.10.46

Huge game for the raiders tomorrow. Last week was the first time we had pretty much our full side for the year and we really showed what we can do. Athlestone will be very tough at there ground but if we play the footy we know we can i think we will beat them.

Should be an awesome game, wish I could see it....Warner is a big in for The Raggies....Him, Bielak, Grivell, Schibani, Piro and Centofanti make for a very potent forward line.

Our back line is gonna be what wins this game for us. I think so far this year we have the second best defence so our boys are doing something right back there :D
