Those finely tuned athletes came from 20 points down at 3qtr time against an undefeated side in the gf.More to footy than just running around

I've just had the privilige of seeing the same photo and the big fella lying on his back at the front is either Sargeant Schultz or his twin brother. Which is it?

You're right there Wattle.A lot more to footy than just running around.Spoke to Klompy the other day and he said he's happily retired.I wonder how Ovies will get on in Div 7 without him?Especially now that Rhino has left to play for Kilburn. What are your thoughts?

Bloody big news.Just spoke with the great Klompy and he tells me the boys at Reynella are in his ear to go back for a kick.He reckons with unfinished business after losing a GF out there, the offer is pretty tempting.Plus the ground is two mins from his house. Not a bad pickup for the club if it happens.

According to a Broadies junior Dad their looking at an ex school oval in North Adelaide, so that'd leave only Blackfriars primary teams to train & play there on a Saturday morning.

So what is happening on Churchill Road at Cane Reserve on the odd Saturday during football season this year?
Obviously with no news from Catland, has the ground been seconded by the Renown Park Polo Club for Saturday games of mixed polo?

It would be a great sight, horses thundering up and down the ground, a rider letting go with a solid drive of the "puck" from centre half forward into the net. "Here, here chaps, a mighty fine effort that", the well educated crowd will exclaim as they drink chardonnay from crystal goblets, their Mercs, Jeeps & Audis parked impeccably facing the train line.

Something different from the past Saturdays I know, but one can only imagine this new venture since we have nothing further to report about that 'barbaric' game of Aussie rules from the incumbent group sometimes referred to as 'gypsies'.

I say, pretty spiffy eh! Let the games begin!
Now that is just plain dumb, don't you think?

Heard that numbers on Tuesday were light on, only about 11 players. Not quite enough for 2 teams I would have thought!

Yeh right, Im pretty sure that was the rumour at the end of last year.. He then played in our premiership on the weekend and enjoyed mad monday with us all. If Roger doesnt play at Ovingham next year I would suggest it is because of a serious knee injury his carrying..

Thats right, i will not be going anywhere and i'm confident that my knee will be right for the start of next year... And Hoody, your a D**khead. I'll see you and your bro's at Ovingham next year.

Great news for the club hes a gun footballer and a nice guy off the field.Couldnt see many leaving after winning a flag,i no Chris and his boys are known for it but all seem happy and talked about sticking around and helping the club grow and try and move up the grades.Does anyone no the highest grade Ovies have played div 6?

Has this prediction come to bear any fruit or was it a bit like "p*ssing into the wind?"
The current story is they'll struggle to fill 1 team let alone the 2 that was being mooted for a fair while, what's happened?

Whats happening in Ovie world?

No noise from Cataroo defending the sinking ship

Is it so quite because they have folded?

Will some one attend the SAAFL function Friday night?

Is it Time up for them?

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

cataroo's been gagged cos he's a peanut and causes us trouble!!!

the ship is certainly not sinking. have had a few pull out but we've covered those losses immediately. we are playing a trial tomorrow V West Croydon @ WC oval. we have 30 listed to play. and another bunch who will not be playing. everything is coming together now.

I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.
